A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was rushed to hospital last night after he was shot in the face by a gunman.
The teenager was riding his bike on Bakers Green Road in Huyton at 8.30pm when he was hit by two pellets.
Witnesses saw the gunman, and another person, fleeing the scene and getting into a Ford car which sped off.
The gunman is said to have been ‘some distance’ from the boy, which meant his injuries were not severe.
The victim, who is local, was taken to Alder Hey hospital for treatment for his injuries.
They are described as minor and the boy was discharged and allowed to return home last night.
Today, police had sealed off the housing estate and forensic officers were combing the scene for clues.
Police officers are talking to the boy’s family who are said to be shocked by the incident.
This is disgusting. gun crime is just totally becoming to get completley out of control. this happened in my city last night in Liverpool. After 11 year old Rhys Jones getting murdered by a gunman 2 months ago this happens. something needs to be done about it now before lots of lives are lost.
