well asp.net is nice but php is a open source so it face few problems but you get a lot of free resources in php and that is very nice. .net also has a very powerful engine and it is good to see such strong race http://www.pixelgroups.com

yaa it is tue that Both Asp.net And Php is used to build dynamic web Application . But Asp.net is Microsoft technology and php is zend technology. Asp.net is having very strong class library that is prepared by the microsoft programmer it will continue to grow in number as they will work on this but the php is open source technology they have less people to make their class library better than Asp.net but it is open source anybody can contribute it towards its better future... I am Asp.net nonprogrammer I have Used both language. Doing Asp.net programming you have to Expend some money for the technology and hosting while in case of php you have to expend less money as compare to Asp.net...
