How often do you clean the smudges off your computer screen?

How often do you clean your computer screen? Why does your computer screen get so smudged? Pets? Kids? What do you use to clean your computer screen? For some reason my little kid likes to wipe her hands on my computer screen. Most times she does it when I'm distracted and not paying attention. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt though. Maybe she is just touching the objects she sees on the screen and not trying to mark up the screen itself. Either way, I have a perpetually smudged monitor. And, that's hard on my eyes. Sometimes I have to clean my monitor screen up to three times every day to get rid of all the little finger prints. I don't have those fancy wipes, just some Brawny paper towels. They leave lint. That's one of my biggest pet peeves.

Ha, unfortunately, I don't trust my dogs to learn that task and I have no children to teach. So, my monitor, in turn, is always filthy. Every once and a while I will clean it, but usually it is a quick wipe. It gets really bad when I try to backspace an unwanted character only to realize that it is a smudge of something.

I have one of those monitors with a soft clean and I'm afraid to clean it without the right products as I want to damage it. It is getting dirty so I must go to the computer shop and but the right wipes to clean it. Because of the type of screen it is I don't touch it at all and don't let anyone else touch it, so so far I have no finger prints on it touch wood.

At work, I usually clean my computer screen once or twice a day, but that's just because my boss likes to show me things or make comments about my drawings by putting his finger on my screen, grrrr!! "Why don't we change this..." (And there go the fingers, from one end of the screen all the way down to the other end...) please don't!! jajajaj I clean it with the same liquid we use for windows at home, and a paper towel. I don't have any other means of cleaning it at work, but it works fine, and it stays pretty clean until the next fingerprint! Good luck with your screen!

I admit I don't clean my screen off as much as I should and I probably don't use the best method to clean it either. My 18 month old daughter LOVES to climb in my lap and point out stuff she sees on the screen. And of course she can't JUST point, she must touch! So there is always a collection of baby prints on my screen. I have a laptop and I use a baby wipe to wipe it off. I know I probably shouldn't but they are available. My screen drives my husband crazy.

I have this little gadget that looks like a squeegee, but it is fuzzy, sort of. I use that when I think of it on my computer screen. I need to do more than that, my cat likes to get up close and personal with the screen. I also have been known to sneeze and leave little water droplets on the screen. I do not have a regular routine, just whenever I think of it, or it really bothers me. I feel like I should get some kind of special electronics spray cleaner, maybe I will some day.

I don't have to worry about any smudges on the screen. Nobody else comes into my computer room. I do tend to dust it off sometimes though. The screen is up high enough where the pooch can't get to it.

My partner has a drum of screen wipes he bought from a PC store and they are perfect. They don't damage the screen, remove all the fingerprints and other marks completely and don't leave any lint or residue behind. We use them once a month and they are safe to use on all electrical items.

Heell my dear beauty queen. As my laptop is for my personal use, I don't have kids' fingerprints on the screen, but there is some dust on the screen. I am lazy and don't wipe off the dust from the screen every day. I think that it is about half a month before I clean the screen. Thanks for your discussion. Good day, dear friend.
