Okay, so it was a nightmare what happened to them this year, but we ought to start looking ahead. I feel the Mets can certainly make it to the postseason in 2008 if they make a good effort and play more consistently well.
They are interested in A-Rod, it would be quite weird to have him on the team, although I'm sure it would certainly help but with quite a wad of cash, although they do seem to have plenty of money.
Anyone have ideas what the Mets will need to improve on if they are to make a solid comeback run to take the NL East or at least obtain a wild card slot in 2008? Will Braves be right back in the picture?
I feel the Braves could definitely come back, I have never let them leave my mind, even when the Mets had a decent hold of the division. Glavine has recently be rumored to possibly be going back to the Braves. With Martinez back to full strength, Mets may find themselves with a good starting rotation but I wonder about what they can do with their bullpen, who at times can be very shaky.

The Mets will be interesting this year. they have the players. The question will be if they decide to play the whole season, or take the last 2 weeks or so off. The Braves will be tough, they have a good pitching staff. The Phils will be tough. I think the paloffs are in the grasps. we shall see.

The Braves always scare me. Do the Mets need A Rod? I don't know. If it means getting rid of Mr, Wright, I wouldn't try for A Rod.I wish I knew why the Mets fizzled at the end. Was it that they ran out of gas? Did they have enough pitching or hitting? Sadly I don't know.If I knew, that is what I would try to fix. If that means changing coaches or certain players, New York has the money to make the moves.
