One of the favorites from my son. When he was in 2nd grade, he had a test that was True or False. One of the questions was "You Put Oil In The Car" my son answered False. When he brought his test home, we went over the questioned he got wrong. His father and I both questioned his answer, knowing that he helps his father all the time in the garage with the motorcyles, lawnmower and cars, that he should have gotten this question correct. When we said, "Son why did you answer this question False, you help your father all the time in the garage?" He stated "Mom...You know if I put oil in the car I would get in trouble. You only put Oil in the Engine!" As my husband and I looked at each other, we smiled and agreed with him. "Yes Son your correct." We sent a note to the teacher and asked her to have him explain his answer to the question, and suggested that she may want to reword her questions next time, because according to our son, he answered her question truthfully and by the way he read it, it was a correct answer. Needless to say, she gave him credit, and was well alert to the fact that she had a student in her class that was going to read the question as it is written and answer them as he reads them. She stated that she had used that same test for over 8 years and never had a student get that question wrong...and to date, I guess she still has not had a student get it wrong, because... You don't put oil in the car...You put it in the Engine.
What's your cute stories?

My 4 year old daughter keeps us laughing! We were sitting around a campfire one evening and she was sitting beside her aunt. Her aunt had a red hooded sweat shirt on and one of the strings was fraying. She said to my daughter "Oh no, what should we do about this string falling apart?" My daughter immediately got up and went to sit with her grandpa. Her aunt asked her why she left her seat beside her. My daughter replied (very seriously) "I'm not sittin' beside anyone who is falling apart". We all lost it and laughed about it for a long time. Some moments are priceless! I could probably write a book on funny things my daughter has said - like most parents.

One that I can tell on my daughter is...When she about 2.5 or 3, learning her colors. We would ask her what the GReen Light ment, she would answer "GO", then we'd ask what does the Red Light Mean she would answer "Stop" Ok...What does the Yellow light mean? " HURRY UP and HOLD ON THE RED LIGHTS COMING!" I think she determined that, beause when I would put on the gas to go through a changing light I would always say "HOLD ON".

With my now 11 year old, I will never forget when she was potty training. We went to a store, and she had to go potty. She went into the stall next to mine. Out of nowhere you hear Mommy, are you doing # 1, or # 2. I was so lost for words, then all the sudden you hear her again getting mad because I didn't answer so she says it again. Then I heard giggles coming from the other stalls, so I said quietly but loud enough for her to hear me. She then says ok, well I went # 1. I said that's good sweetie. The toliet flushed on it's own and it freaked her out. When we both came out, a lady was washing her hands. She praised her for going by herself and said something on the lines on how the auto flush freaks her out as well.
With my youngest, I can't count the funny things she has said. First time she met my husband's mom. We went to the bathroom together, my mil would ask her what her name was. At that time she would say The Baby. I guess she got tired of the game so the next time she was asked, she said I'm the baby and your the granny, ok, lol.
The 2nd funny story that sticks out was when I was at a friends house. She was playing with her toy horse. My friend tried to show her how to make horse sounds and such. Well, she stopped what she was doing, looked at my friend with a very serious look to her face and said. "You do know that this horse isn't real, it's just a toy". I was like omg, she just didn't say that. She has a way of saying something funny and at the same time have a smart butt way of doing it.

So cuddly and cute. Smart kid you have there.
I love reading parenting books, so funny, I don't have a kid and I am not a parent, not intending to marry. I just love reading things like what kid's think and say, they got pretty cool responses that makes adult ones wonder. They are lovely and adorable when they give answers or comments to certain situations which really makes us think twice. Right?
Thanks for sharing. I love it!

Glad we can amuse you...Or maybe I should say glad we can share our amusing kids stories with you.
I have one more. Four kids, at least four memorial stories. I'll share one on each.
This one is on my oldest...one of the cutiest stories I must add. She always had an issue with pulling her elbow out of sucket. I think they called it nursemaid Elbow. It never failed when putting the Swimmies one. Anyway...On one of those occasions, when she was about 2.5 or 3, we had to go to the ER. This is obvioulsy a very painful situation as you can imagine. After the doctor came in and examined her he decided to send us for Xrays. As we were walking down the hospital hallway to the Xray Department, my daughter looked up at me and said "Mommie where are we going?" I said we are going to go down the hall here and they are going to take your picture. Being the first child, pictures were always being taken) She responded with "BUT MOMMIE I DON'T FEEL LIKE SMILING, MY ARM HURTS"
I still remember her on the xray table as we were trying to take her mind off the pain, saying smile and look at the camera.
It's amazing how cute they can be and how their little minds work in the Big World.

I got reminded of another cute one from my son a few years back. Today during our Thanksgiving dinner we were remembering Thanksgivings in the past. One tradition we have after we say grace is to go around the table and everyone share a couple of things that they are truly thankful for. One year when he was about 7 maybe, he was thankful that we had never been robbed. We had fun reminding him of that one today.
