what is going on in the world today.
read this.
A City of Akron dispatcher was robbed Tuesday night as she was entering the police station to report for work.
Akron police say the 45-year-old victim, an employee in the communications center, was attempting to use her key card at 217 S. High St. building when she was shoved to the ground from behind as she opened the door.
The suspect took her purse and fled down University Avenue, a police report indicated.
Police said an officer working the Information Desk in the lobby of the police station chased the suspect as he ran towards downtown, but lost sight of him.
Paramedics treated the woman on the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 yeas old, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and dark complexioned. He was wearing a black coat with reflective material.
The victim's purse and contents were recovered in the Summit County Parking deck across the street from the police department. The money in the purse was gone.
The incident is under investigation and a person of interest has been identified.
No charged have been filed at this time.
we are not safe anywhere anymore.

Wow, talk about having guts. I would never rob anyone but I would never have thought of doing it on the doorstep of the police station.
We did have an incident here a couple years ago, when a deputy sheriff from another county left his badge and handcuffs on the seat of his patrol car while he was in the police station...when he came out, they were gone. Not a good thing...I think it cost him his job.

If your counting on the police for protection your outa luck. They get to the scene too late to do anything but file paperwork & take pictures. How's that going to stop the guy from robbing/killing/rapeing you?
If you want to be safe you have to be ready to protect yourself, whereever, whenever.
