XP is a desease that means you are allergic to the sun. You can only live, go out and things at night. It's not just the sun though, its lights and everything. People with XP get rashes and things if they are out in the sun, and have too have protective sheets over tv screens, etc... they generally live in the basement, since there isn't much light down there and the windows are generally painted black. They don't live in tombs or anything though, as people think.

They live everywhere around the world. There are online communities for them and support groups for their families. I posted a link above if you'd like more information. I think there have only been 5-7 cases of it in the United States.

There are people who think they are vampires and that drink blood, but no way in hell can they feed on just blood. I don't think it's very healthy behaviour either, but as long as they don't hurt anyone (or at least not anyone who hasn't agreed to it ;), I will not be the one to judge them and they should be free to do as they like.
I know the disease of XP where you are talking about. The mom of the girl I babysit has it too. She can't go out and play with her daugther, only when there is no or hardly any sun. The treatments she has to get regularly and painfull and she'll most likely never get cured. Her daughter is really a girl that's love playing outside.
I'm glad I was able to go there all summer to let her play in her little swimmingpool in the backyard and go to the playground with her, even though I felt sorry her mom can only do these things when it's way passed her bedtime... she's just turned 2 :(

aww sorry too hear that. Last I heard there is no cure, of course there are the medicines and things that help, but as far as being cured I doubt it. It's such a terrible disease, and you'd think more people would want too know about it, since everybody tends too be obsessed with vampires.

yes I do. I believe in all of that stuff, always have. A Lot of people are called Vampires because of a desease called XP. Basically the person is allergic to the sun, so can only live at night.

well I watched something on tv the other day that made a great point...if vampires existed the population would have been wiped out along time ago or we would all be vampires...think about it...if we were vsmpires and it started even in the 1400"s one bit two bits 3 bits lol we are all vampires

I certainly hope they do.
The way i see it, there are alot of things in this worl that are unexplainable.
People normallyjust pass it off as a myth or legend.
but whats to say its real or not.
If you beleive it enough, then it IS real.
But you make your own jusgement on that.

There are some people who do drink blood and it is called vampire like behavior but the only natural vampires are vampire bats
