What about the one who argued with Ibrahim about his Lord, on the basis that Allah had given him sovereignty? Ibrahim said, 'My Lord is He Who gives life and causes to die.' He said, 'I too give life and cause to die.' Ibrahim said, 'Allah makes the sun come from the East. Make it come from the West.' And the one who was a disbeliever was dumbfounded. Allah does not guide wrongdoing people. They said, 'Burn him and support your gods if you are resolved to do something.' They said, 'Build a pyre for him and fling him into the blaze!' We said, 'Fire, be coolness and peace for Ibrahim!' They desired to trap him but We made them the losers. They tried to outwit him but We made them the lowest.
