What's going on in schools these days?

A schoolboy was given an unexpected surprise for his 16th birthday when a stripper turned up in his drama class. Apparently the boys mother (who organised it) claims it was a mistake and that she had asked for a gorilla. However the stripper turned up dressed as a policewoman. She arrived halfway through the lesson and asked the teacher to film it for the family. To the sound of Britney Spears ("Hit me Baby One More Time" I presume) she spanked the "victim" 16 times and walked him round the classroom on all fours before stripping down to her underwear. The teacher stepped in and called a halt to the proceedings when the stripper asked the boy to rub cream on her. Here's the link to the story http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20071108/tuk-school-stripper-shocks-birthday-boy-6323e80_1.html Now I'm sure the boy wasn't complaining. He probably thought all his birthdays had come at once lol! I just can't believe the teacher didn't intervene sooner. I'm trying to think back to when I was at school and I can't imagine any of my teachers letting it go up until that point. I also find it pretty difficult to believe that it was a genuine error on the mothers part. I'm quite sure strippers cost more money than just some person dressed in a gorilla outfit so it seems unlikely to me that it was a mistake. So if you're a guy wouldn't you feel a little weird if your mother booked you a stripper? I just think I would feel a bit weird about that if it was me. If you're a parent with a teenage son would you book him a stripper for his sixteenth? Would you get her to turn up at school? Or even better - if you're a teacher would you think it was ok for this to happen in your classroom? At what point would you have intervened?

this is really something crazy. You are right gorilla man probably cost much less than a stripper. I think is kinda wird the mother booked for his own child a stripper. I am not sure, if the person is in proper health. I would never ever do such a think to my child. And also I don't see why she arrange it with stripper coming to the school. to me it looks like mother was drunk or something. And Idon't think i would let something like tis happen in my classroom when I would be a teacher.

I've heard about other parents organising strippers for their sons birthdays and I've always thought it was a bit creepy really. But doing it in a school setting is even worse!

WTF! is this for real.. this news is really unbelievable.. how can a stripper enter the school premises.. and why does the teacher didn't do anything to stop the show... this is really a very stunning news!

I know. It seems unbelievable that the teacher let it continue for as long as she did.

It is terrible that the school and the teacher allowed a stripper to come into the school and do stuff like that. It should not have gotten that far. It is easy for anyone to come into a school and do something like. The parent should have done more checking to make sure her child would not be exposed to something like that. It would be weird if my parents had done that for me.

Yes I think it's just the weirdest thing for a parent to hire a stripper anyway - but to arrange for it to take place in the classroom is just bizarre!

Thats just too far off. Around here a stripper wouldn't have even been allowed into the school , much less a classroom. Everyone has to check in. Do they not have security over there?

We have security in primary schools but I'm not sure about high schools. I notice from reading the article again it's a school and college so possibly that means there are mainly older pupils there but I would still have thought there would be some kind of ID check on people entering the premises.

Wow!! I'm just wondering about the gorilla that probably showed up at someones stag party LOL Seriously, it's unbelievable that a teacher would allow it to go on as long as she did. Not to mention, how did she get in the school to start with? Although the boy probably had the time of his life...the teacher should be fired faster than you can say Happy Birthday. LOL I know - it's the time it took her to react to it. I mean I know sometimes things happen and we can be so taken aback that it takes a few seconds for our brains to start functioning again (well it does with me anyway!) but that must have gone on for a good few minutes at least!

That is a real bummer! The boy must have enjoyed it but the teacher... I wonder what the teacher felt... LOL. What are the chances of making such a big mistake like that?

LOL exactly! I don't believe it was really a mistake. I think the mother is just saying that now because it's made the news.

I should be writing how gobsmacked I am at this, but somehow, the way some stupid parents are now, I can believe it. I think alot of parents need a good slap and stop giving everything to their kids. What morals must this mother have to think about booking someone to turn up at their son's school no matter what they came in. To me this is just a selfish act she has done with no thought for anyone else. As for the teacher they most probably felt that if they had intervened they would be in trouble, teachers have no rights in any form of discipline now. The boy would have gone home crying, mummy would have gone up the school and the teacher would have had to make a public apology for hurting his feeling!!LOL I have the pleasure of working with parents and some of them need to realise that their child is not the only person in the world. They are so selfish and just demand everything for their child, not giving a hoot that a school is a community. No wonder so many kids are so self absorbed nowadays. Many a day I have to bite my tongue at their behaviour and their kids always act like spoil brats, which is sadly not their fault. The worlds gone crazy and alot of parents need a reality check....what is going on????

I couldn't be a teacher, I don't think I would have the patience for it in the first place but I definitely couldn't tolerate some of the parents. I used to work for our local authority organising the school transport for pupils and that really opened my eyes to the way some parents are. Unbelievable! Many a time I had some parent turn up in my office threatening to "sort me out" because I had removed their son or daughter from transport. Never mind the fact they had vandalised the bus or endangered other pupils, how dare I punish their child!! It's very sad - some children have no chance at growing up to be decent people because of the way their parents are.

What I see going on these days between parents and their children shocks the hell out of me. There is so little respect on either side. I guess I'm getting old that I feel sad and ashamed at the same time.

I must be getting old too. There's no way I would have got away with some of the stuff kids get away with nowadays.

This sounds all too disgusting to me. What kind of person was that mother to hire a stripper to go to the boy's school and what kind of person was that teacher who let it go on for so long until she stopped it. Why I was angry when when my sons reached their eighteenth birthday, my husband took them to a bar because in Canada eighteen was legal drinking age. How much more would I have been if someone had hired a stripper for my sons on their sixteenth. Isn't there a law against it? Wouldn't the mother get suspended too? (I guess not, I guess in Great Britain, they now allow such things.) How sad for the whole country. I sure hope that teacher is suspended without pay. It shows me how much things have deteriorated in the Great British school system. You take God out of the school and even the teachers encourage immorality.

The mother says it was a mistake but personally I'm not convinced! You know I think what is really lacking in schools today is respect. It was already happening when my daughter was at school (she's 27 now) but it's definitely got worse. The teachers don't command enough respect. When I was at school our teachers conducted themselves in a totally different way. Yes we had some that were friendlier and more fun than others but they still behaved like authority figures and more often than not that's lacking nowadays. There again the training requirements and qualifications for teachers are different as well nowadays. I think they're so desperate to attract people into the profession that they have relaxed them and I do think that has meant standards have fallen considerably. I've no doubt there are still some excellent teachers around but there's not enough of them I'm afraid.

What the heck is wrong with the stripper for showing up at the school? And you're right, why the heck didn't the teacher stop this sooner? My whole opinion is that you can't enter a strip cub until you're a certain age for a reason, and this is totally inappropriate to be going on in school, regardless of who set it up. All parties involved should've known better.

I'm very surprised the teacher hasn't been suspended pending investigation. As you say a sixteen year old couldn't legally go into a strip club anyway. And what WAS the stripper thinking of as well? I would have thought when she turned up there she would have questioned whether it was really the right place for her to be!

Drama teachers were always a bit more open minded in my experience and I suppose the kids were 16 but still allowing a stripper in the classroom to spank the kids and make them walk round on all fours is getting a bit crazy I agree. I believe the mother was telling the truth when she says she ordered the gorilla as I'm sure no mother would have a stripper sent to the school on purpose.

I'm sure the kids thought it was a great laugh - or at least the birthday boy probably did anyway! True drama teachers are usually a bit "different" from other teachers. My drama teacher was completely nuts. She had appeared in loads of Hammer Horror films and obviously got to keep the outfits because she looked pretty strange lol.

Oh we had a geography teacher that did that. She was notorious for it - always the first to sign up for camping trips lol! Nowadays that sort of thing would probably be in the News of the World. Yes my drama teacher was cool. Nuts but cool. Very ... dramatic lol!
9 Nov 07
Our drama teacher apparently slept with some of the sixth formers they were of legal age and it wasn't during school hours but even so not very professional is it? lol. it must have been cool having a drama teacher who was in the Hammer Horror films though.

I am a teacher and I am a parent of a boy aged 12. There is no way I would have let the lady inside my classroom and filmed what was going on. I would have sent another pupil over to get the head teacher to telephone the birthday boy's mother. She would have said a gorilla was sent to the school. A note would have been sent back to me. I would have questioned the lady. When she mentioned she was a stripper I would have asked her to leave. What happened was very irresponsible indeed. What have the other parents said? I would never do this for my son.

Well no comments have been reported from the other parents yet but I would imagine they will have plenty to say about it all. I mean I know they are 16 but still it's not appropriate at that age to be witnessing a strip show!

The story doesn't actually say this but I'm assuming it was like a stripogram type thing so they are usually organised by a company. If what the mother says is true (that it was a mistake) then instead of sending someone in a gorilla suit to sing happy birthday, the company messed up and sent a policewoman who also stripped off as part of her performance lol! But I'm not really buying the mothers story. A stripogram must cost more money than just a kissogram/singing gorilla. Or at least if I was expected to take my clothes off I would be wanting more money than some person who just dresses in a furry suit and sings Happy Birthday lol!

I dont know how it works where this story took place but when I was stripping I didnt work for a "company"...none of us did...We had agents that would book us in clubs but most of us just handled our own bookings etc...I never had stags/bday parties etc booked for me..I was my own business woman...

When I was in high school a friend of mine got a stripper sent to school on her 16th birthday by her mother. He was actually a friend of the family. He showed up during our lunch hour. Her mom was standing by with a camera laughing. The principal knew what was going on and was fine with it.

WOW! what shocks me the most is the fact that the stripper DID IT IN THE FIRST PLACE! I was a dancer for several yrs and there is NO WAY IN HELL i would strip for a minor LET ALONE AT A SCHOOL!!! Thats just insane!!! but ya I wonder why the teacher didnt step in sooner AND I wonder what the hell the mother was thinkin booking it in the first damn place! Ive told my son that I would take him to his first club but not until he's 19 and legally able to attend (in Ontario)....

I wonder why the stripper didn't think there had maybe been a mistake when she arrived at a SCHOOL lol!! In fairness it is a school/college type place which means it probably has mainly older pupils but as you say, 16 is still underage. He couldn't get into a strip club at that age. As for the teacher I can't believe that she didn't realise where it was all going once the crawling round the room on all fours and spanking started lol!!

Its really weird and i don't think it was a mistake as like mentioned the stripper will cost more than those dressed as a gorilla. And sixteenth is a age filled with surprises so the boy should have really enjoyed. If i were that Teacher in that place i should not have allowed to enter the room, for any reason. Anyway these are weird incidences that we rarely hear, thanks for sharing.

That would be very absurd if it happened in our classroom. The stripper wouldn't be able to cross our room without the teacher's consent. All I could is that was a very weird birthday, mother, teacher nad stripper. ..^^..cherry
