how can you say that you are a genius?

There are tests for it. If you score very well in a particular area you could be called a genius, there's nothing to debate about. If you just decided you were a genius & went about proclaiming it then I could understand people disagreeing...because your a fool.

That is interesting question, but I don't think if I would be genius, I would call myself that way.I think I would better let other to call me genius.

oh i dunno macobex! this is a funny discussion. i don't think i am a genius, actually my iq is pretty low at 128. but many people think that i am pretty smart, so i dunno. lol well, i guess it doesn't matter anyway. you can be smart and not land anything in life. yet you can be average and have the whole world in your hands. it is our purpose that determines where we are headed and where we should be. :-)

What an odd generalized question. Well, I personally don't claim anything of the kind. I'm well aware of my IQ score, having taken several tests. It sort of came with the territory. My father is a member of Mensa and has been since I was very young, so intelligence was highly praised in my household. Then with a history of psychology studies behind me, having several indepth IQ tests was par for the course. BUT other than my family and the odd close real life friend, I've never mentioned my score to a soul .. and probably never will. I have a philosophy about people who brag about their IQ, especially when it comes to the internet. The people who yell the loudest are usually the ones with the least to yell about. :)

i don't think that im a genious, but when im in the elementary school, i was thinking that im a genious, since i never study nor doing my homeworks, but still im on the first grade for six year in a row (my classmates is about 40 people). soon after that, my parents send me to the best junior high school in my province, again, without even a single hour of studying at home, only depend on what i heard in the class, i reach on rank 50 from 480 students again, my parents send me to one of the best highschool in my country, and at that time, i find 5 person that smarter than me ... in my university time, i find that different people have different talent, like bethoven and mozart for example, they are genius in music, einstein genius in science ... my iQ score ? hmm ... i've been through several test, and on some test with average people's iq is 100 and genius is above 140, my score is 136. on another test with different scale, average people's iQ is 120 and genius is above 170, my score is 167 i don't bother on what other's say about wether im genius or not, because i don't think that it will makes any difference in my life =)
