Is it still a good place for taking walks?

I visited Nemi, Rome way back in 1989. I love the serenity of the place, and Lake Nemi overlooking the Dei Verbum House of Studies. I want to visit the place again to see what changes have taken place. The small town offers a good place for taking walks in the woods and the road side around Lake Nemi.
