Full closet of clothes but nothing to wear?

Hello laurika. I have also many clothes in my iron closet. It is ok for me as I think that I have enough to wear at different seasons for different kinds of weather. By the way, I need to clarify my gender. I am hubby of my wife and father of my son. lol

In this case or consider issue (to me), I am feeling the same was as what you felt. My mother teased me sometime in her own proverbs, but never recognized by the world; "Got more but less to take" "Farming chicken but allergy to it" "Beautiful long nails will hard to eat" I think for men, the more they have the more we have to wash. They will never bother so much because most of their clothes pattern and design mostly suits any occasion they attended. Just like plug and play.

I have tons of clothes. Having said that, I only have a FEW nice things. Since I mostly wear jeans & shirts, that's pretty much fine, but once in a while I need to go to something wearing something nicer & I'm going thru my stuff wondering if they still FIT! Regarding guys, if they are "cloths-horses" they do probably feel that way. But I think most men are happy with some of nice suits, and one 3 peice one for even better.

It does seem to be a girl thing. My sisters (I have 3) and my wife have their wardrobes loaded with clothes, but still complain that they don't have anything to wear. In fact, my wardrobe has become half full of my wife's clothes.. :-)

I do get like that. I can stand in front of my closet forever and not be able to find a single thing to wear. I have tons of clothes and still have a hard time getting dressed on some days. I think I just get really bored with everything I own. My husband doesn't seem to have this problem and he doesn't even have half the amount in the closet that I do.

Laurika Im also the same I got a bunch of tees in my closet but i just feel like Im running out. Because i do love fashion and I always MUST have the latest.

I feel like that all of the time. A lot of my problem is that my weight has flucuated more than Oprah's! I have been everywhere from a size 6 to a size 14 within the past 5 years.

You are definitely not alone!! I have the same problem. 2 closet full of clothes and still nothing to wear. Whenever I complain to my boyfriend that I have nothing to wear, he will say that my closets are almost bursting..how can I say I have nothing to wear. Fact is....I don't feel that they match my outing mood.

I feel the same way:) I think this is all girls' headaches:) My husband doesn't have many clothes in my opinion, perhaps this is why he won't have this headache:)

lol I always feel like this, i have tons of clothes and some of my personal favourites but i feel like i dont have anything to wear. need to clothes lol. sometimes if i wanna go travelling for a few days- just dont know which clothes to bring, and don't feel like bringing any existing clothes that i have. sigh. whenever i complain to my mom or my bf about it, they'll be like what? are you kidding? you have so many clothes but say that you don't have anything to wear. ahaha. .

i must agree you, sometimes when my husband & i are going out,i waste a lot of time fitting on clothes from my closet and i always end up with first one i pick,and as a result, i feel uncomfortable with my look. compared to my husband, he only needs 15 mins. to complete an outfit...

I too feel the same way. My closet is full of clothes but everytime I go out I feel like I have nothing to wear. I even have some new clothes in my closet and those clothes have been there for the longest time

I agree, I have a closet full of clothes but when it is time to dress I just stand there and look at them and can never find anything I want to were. I have a few favorites and seems like I wear them over and over. I know I have more clothes than hubby but he never seems to have a problem finding something. He wears jeans a lot so he is easy to please and I never ware jeans.

The thing is your closet is so packed that you feel you have wore everything. The thing is if you create space in closte you can sort waht you can wear for different ocassions. I also feel the same. Sometimes, it takes me about 30 to one hour just to find the best wardrobe for me for that day. Even if I have a lot of clothes in my closet, I still wanted to wear what's not in my closet. Sometimes, I end up wearing simple clothes because I'm very much confused what to wear. But sometimes, there's a good outcome. But I feel very upset if I don't wear the wardrobe that I'm expecting to wear.

I think it depends entirely on the man or woman. Some people love a lot of clothes and want the newest fashions and others could care less. I am one of the could care less types. Once a female followed my hubby home from work back in the olden days when we let people we knew in, and uninvited she opened the door to my closet to check out my clothes and she said "Wow, you have hardly any clothes!" I laughed, and said you are right! My husband and I have better things to spend our money on than unnecessary clothes. Especially now that we are retired, I love to live in a nice pair of shorts with a soft cotton T-Top and sandals.

lol,i get that way too,i do have alot of clothes but there is days where i try everything on and i just dont like it that day,so then i say i dont have anything to wear.i love fashion and to be updated as much as i can.as far as men i think they are ok if they only had some jeans and tee shirts.pattie

yes i am the same also.i have heaps of casual clothes,but when i need to dress up i have nothing to wear.but worse than that are shoes,heaps of flaties,but no good heels

Oh I can relate to this! I have a lot of clothes but there are some days when I feel like I have nothing to wear! I'm the type who doesn't stick to one style of dressing -- sometimes I'm preppy, sporty, etcetera -- and I don't like to wear the same thing twice in two weeks so I do tend to feel like I have nothing to wear when I want to go for a particular style.
