God's Simple Plan of Salvation 1. Admit you are a sinner. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) "As it is written, There is none righteous no not one." (Romans 3:10) 2. Know that there is a penalty for our sin. "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23a) This penalty involves what the Bible calls in Revelation 20:14 the "second death." It is when the soul of man is cast permanently in Hell to be forever separated from God. 3. Believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, came to earth to live perfectly, to die a substitionary death for every lived, and to rise again from the dead. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for is." (Romans 5:8) Jesus paid fully the debt we owe for our sins. He alone could do that. (See Romans 10:9) 4. Trust Jesus Christ as your LORD and Personal Saviour. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
