ever been robbed by thief?

hi there everyone...
have you ever experienced being robbed by thief?
i haven't experienced it but just the thought of it makes me scared.
My friend had been robbed last two days ago.. she was just walking then she was surprised to feel a persons arm on her shoulder, and a pointed thing at her waist. It was only then that she realized he was a thief. He took my friend's cellphone, money and jewelries. Its really sad my friend had to go home alone and without money.
And there was this school mate of mine who died months ago since the thief wanted to get his money and jewelry, but my school mate fought so he was stabbed by knife. It is really sad to say, but when my school mate was rushed in the hospital, the hospital did not accept him since there was no money for down payment =[

Theives are those who steal without resorting to threatening measures. Sometimes, without the victims knowledge until its too late and the thief already sped away.
I've experienced this during gradeschool and even know who it was. He further did his exploints at high school but never once was caught. He even blown a whistle against another theif who he caught hiding the item that was stolen.
I wonder how he's doing now...

Maybe i havent such experience in my memory,its distubing to come across this horror thing, we should take more care about it.

what you said here suprise me/! philippines have the same situations with some place in china. my suggestion is never fight the thief as they have weapon and you don't have, especially for a girl. whatever the robber wanna , just give it to them. money is something we can earn later. but life is only once for anyone. after you give them the money, and wait them go, and call the pliceman. the more important thing is , as a girl , don't go out in the night alone. if you have to go outside in the evening, call someone accompany you. a boy is better, and never choose a road that seldom people pass through. in a word just take care of yourself.
