Do You Still Give Out Best Responses?

I haven't been on MyLot very much lately, but when I have a discussion, I always try and choose a best response. I figure that because it helps someone, I should do it. It's not always easy to pick. Or if you pick too early, often someone comes along later with a much better response that you wish you would have selected. Oh, well, what can you do? I am sure I probably have some unresolved discussions, but for the most part I do keep up. I do have old MyLot emails piled up, and frequently go back to discussions that I responded to months ago while I am clearing out the old emails. Sometimes it's interesting because it gives me a new perspective on something I was asking about a while back. If you've got a lot piled up, I would just suggest doing some each time you come on MyLot, instead of trying to tackle them all at once.

Yes I am usually really good about picking best response. However I have been away a lot lately and have had little time on myLot. I was going to do it when I first came in tonight but started reading discussion instead. It is just so much more fun to keep reading new discussion then rereading the old to pick a best response. I will do it though for sure. We must, we should, I think it is good encouragement for each other.

It is better to give Best response to the one who has analysed the discussion topic correctly and gives valuable contribution to the topic and the BR should be given as soon as number of responses reaches between 8 to 10, instead of waiting for more responses. And your discussion topic gets resolved. It so happens, many good responses come in after your give BR. Cann't help it.

I am not really here very much anymore. I almost forgot about best responses. I know I had a few that I couldn't pick just one so I didn't chose. But I think I better go back and see if there are more now.

I try to give out best responses within one to two weeks so I am caught up. I know that people appreciate being recognized with the rest responses so I will continue to give them out.

yeah. i give the responses best response two minutes ago. what some one said behind my discussion is really good. i give them a + and best response. i have the same questions with you. after i give them the best they maybe not so active as before. but i will continue to give them.

Yes I still give out best reponses. I sometime forget to do it for a while. I try to give them within 7 days or 10 responses which ever comes first.

I have been away from MyLot for quite sometimes, probably more than 2 months ? I gave out Best Response to those discussion I've started as long as there are responses that have my question resolved or if not but if I find that the response is good, I will have no hesitation to mark it a Good Response. In fact, I've since joining Mylot for more than a year now, went through twice for all discussion I've started and gave out Best Responses. I think I will do it again before the end of 2007 and give out Best Response to all my discussion as long as there is responses for my discussions.

I am so far behind on responding to my own discussions that it's sad. I try to catch up but it's not easy. "COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS" **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I get behind on this also. I usually will get on once a month just to give out the best response for my discussions. Lately I haven't been starting many discussions here, so giving out best response isn't that hard to keep up with.

I usually wait a couple of weeks before giving Best Responses. That way more people that are behind in responding have a chance to get in on the fun as well. If any of you have a mailbox like mine, you will probably like to have a chance to respond before a Best Response is picked. Happy posting..

Yes,I do give out best responses but I think I'm also a little bit behind. I give best response to the people who have analyzed the topic and is really involved in this discussion. I don't give out best response that quickly cause I'd like to see more ideas and more responses to the discussion. Another thing what you mentioned,people may not be that active once you've chosen the best response could also be a thing that we need to consider about. But I'll still give out best responses:)

Yes,I do give best responses. After a while I want to resolve a discussion and you can only do it by giving a best response. Also I find it gives the responder a good feeling when he or she receives a Best Response and motivates people to answer more questions.

No Im not behind Im so glad for that.LOL This tends to happen to all of us. I try to give the best responses out the very next day. I have been doing that now for a couple of weeks and Ive found Im getting more $. Also rate the discussion too. Happy mylotting my friend.

People have taken pains to answer our discussion. If the answer is really good, then it is a pleasure and our privilege to give Best Response to the deserving response. It is encouragement for all of us is it not? But, as you said, I have limited time and in that I try to put at least three or four responses apart from responding to the responses of my own discussions. When I have time, I will slowly mark Best Responses.

yes,I think it is my responsibility to choose a best response and just doing so is just to the friend who makes the best response.if we do not do this,then all friends have the same score,I think it is injust.

Yes, I do choose the best response for each of the discussions i've started. I always make sure to read all responses so i can mark the one that, for me, denotes the best answer. Doing this not only closes the discussion but also gives credit to someone who made that extra effort to explain the topic thoroughly.

Hi there:) I am pretty new here so i am just learning all of this.. i have rated my discussions,and i have chise a best response for all of my old ones, only the ones a few days old havnt been choosen.but rated yes.... I try to keep up with them,but i can definatly see me falling behind.lol its just a newsence really..
