new baby bunnies being born

i purchased a female mini lopeared doe to breed with my mini lopeared buck rabbit. it was so cute, he kisses her, by nuzzeling her nose for awhile and walked around her for awhile and then he got her pregnant. babies take 31 days, and it is going to be so cute but i just hope that the litter isn't too big or i'll want to keep them all!they are both show rabbits, the male is a beutiful grey&white with a white i call it a lightening bold, cause thats what it looks like, down the center of his head to his lilac eyes. the female mini is a steel gray, so my breeder dealer says i should get solid and multi-colored bunnies this way. the male's nane is bunny and the females name is erin. do any of you have pet rabbbits and what are they like? my male is very very sweet, bunnies are much sweeter in dispositon than cats, which i have too. erin, the female is a little bit skidish now that she is pregnant. she nipped me twice.

Oh they sound so cute, rabbits are so gorgeous, I used to do pet therapy at a nursing home a few years ago, they had two resident rabbits and I used to take them around to let the elderly residents pat them they were gorgeous, sounds like you love your bunnies....

dear lilaclady, yes, they are very gentle, and sweet creatures, i have come to think thats why they were in so many childrens stores that i read growing up. they are truly precious and and their spirit is one of absolute pure goodness!! thanks, for responding, stanzi

We have raise show rabbits for 12 yrs and yes males tend to be the better pets, females are more territorial. Typically if someone calls me wanting a pet I sell them a male. Right now we have about 150 rabbits (we cut back for the winter) and we have 12 does who are due to have babies next wk. Good luck with your babies.
