Finally made it back online. Lost my dsl a few days ago and now I have dialup. slow, slow....Wanted to bring katlady and all my friends up to date on health.
Went to the dr. on Monday of this week.....He now says that I have diabeties....I have been border line diabetic all my life....he started me on the pills and strick diet. No diet sodas or drinks but water....Well I have been taking my suger test since Tuesday and it has been running 117-149 all week. Take it 3 times a day like he said. The pills he started me on I have to take 2 times a day......big news I can not take one whole pill so I cut them in half and I take a total of one pill a day....When I took 2 I did not fell like trying to do anything or wanted to do nothing but sleep...mom is fussing but this time I think I know what I am doing...
Disability called me the other day and asked if I had started work and and I told them there was no way I could work with my vision and now haveing to struggle to pay bills and worrying with everything and depression has started in.
So they are sending me the days I have to report to there drs. I go back to the dr. in one month....That is not going to be fun...because I do not have the money to go to 2 other drs. that he wants me to go to. My vision has adjusted to just one eye and some days it is a struggle to even walk my dog.
Just wanted to bring you up to date and to say that through all of this I am still ready to wring my hubbys neck for what he has put me through....Have nice day all.

Hey--- are you taking Glyburide? Thats what Hun takes, and it gives him fewer problems than the others. He also started at half of a tablet... but now takes 2 full tablets a day, plus a bedtime injection. You can tell how things are working for you, but be aware that when your sugar is high you can turn into your own evil twin! Hun's done that a few times, and there is no talking to him. I just say 'Check your blood!', and he knows there's a problem.

No he put me on Glucophagh. 1000mg tabs 2 tabs a day.
I can only take a half one in the morning and a half one in the evening because when I took one whole one it made me nutty.....since I found out and he put me on the pills I have been running borderline.

Hun had trouble with that one... I think it has a lot to do with body chemistry, so if you don't feel right on it, don't feel bad about asking for something else. He tried to 'get used to it', but his sugar levels were as bad as his mood!!LOL!

Hi mamakat0,
I'm so very glad to see you here, but sad at the same time, for all you're going through. It really does break my heart to hear of your struggles, and about the 'new challenge' you're facing, with the diabetes. I pray that something can be worked out, so that you can continue to receive disability payments. They 'have' to understand that there's no way you can go back to work. It's ridiculous that they even think so. I wish there was more I could say, to make things better. I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry too, about the situation with your husband, and do hope that you can get someone in to help you out with things. Please take care of yourself. xxx

Sweetie I am so sorry to read this I wish that they would sort things out there
I mean why are they not sending the Doctor to you as it sounds like you should not be running around
Sweetie I really hope that things soon look up for you and that you will get better

My love and prayers to you today as always my friend!
I had a grandfather and grandmother with diabetes and they each had loving spouses to support them...I do pray that things go better for you and wish you all the best!

(((hugs))) to you my friend..I was concerned when I hadn't seen you here. But I guess with losing your DSL and switching over caused you not to be on-line
OMG...you now have diabetes too? You must now have to be on a much stricter diabetic type diet now and have to eliminate a lot of foods as well not just sweet drinks like soda, right?
Is disability nuts or something? I mean they did know all about your health problems so how could they think you could work? Aren't they a bunch of "a-holes"??

Hi pye,
Good to see ya.....The diet he wants me on is strick but I am cheeting...No diet sodas, no sweet-n-low. No artifial sugar what so ever.....Have not figured that out yet, but I think I am the one going nuts.....besides all that has happened I believe my PAD is trying to kick in also....for some reason my alergies have started to day and none of the meds I have are working....guess this is something I will have to ride out. My sugar is running 112-189 for the time I have been taking it.
I also hate the speed that the computer is doing now.....ugh...to slow... Hugs back at ya.
