My daily routine when I get on my computer is to A: Check my email, and B: Go to Demonoid to see what's new and interesting.
This morning I almost went into a catastrophic meltdown!! I learn that stupid CRIA threatened them and they have to take the site down.
CRIA are a bunch of whiny a-- people who are mad about the fact that they're losing money because the movie and music making industry isn't doing anything to keep the consumers happy.
Somebody need to sue them for putting out all the hype only to realize we've wasted a lot of money, time, and effort to help fatten their pockets by dishing out trash and serving it to the people.

I saw this coming. About a month ago they had to block Canadian users, which was a huge annoyance for me, since Demonoid was the torrent site I used most often. So I sort of figured this would be their next step.
Honestly though, I'm not all that bothered now. Since Demonoid blocked Canadian users, I had to go off and find other torrent sites. I've had more luck at Pirate Bay than I ever did at Demonoid.

Well, after months and months of waiting for Demonoid's registrations to open I finally got in. Even donated!! Now their site gets taken down???
It was the only website that had REAL downloads. Those other torrent websites have fakes and viruses and you can't find that out until it's too late.
I'm truly sorry that the Canadians have to suffer like we do.
Like I said, we need to ban together and sue CRIA. They're the ones that's trying to rip people off.
I also went to the Pirate Bay. They hardly have anything. Whenever I search for something from their site and they don't have it, Demonoid usually does.
I'm bummed about it but I'll suck it up and get over it eventually.

I've never had a fake file or a virus from Pirate Bay, and I've never had trouble finding a file. They have movies 2 days after release, and albums the same day. No offense meant, but if you're having trouble with it, my guess would be you weren't famililar enough with it to know where to look. ;)
Axxo's also got quality files, although then you're limited to DVD rips and no cam releases. The knockoff Axxo's are usually virus infested, which is why I only get them from the original source .. his site.
And no, I don't agree with banding together and suing the organization. I don't agree with what they're doing, but the fact is that they have the law on their side and we don't, making suing a pipe dream and not realistic in the least. You'd be laughed out of the courtroom, and charged for the copyright infringements.
