These ads are killing me!!

I'm going to have to be very careful, or soon I'm going to be spending far more money on mylot than I make. I keep catching myself looking longingly at the things in the ads. Since they are interest-based, they're hitting me just where it hurts: bi pride jewelry, religious items, anime, manga... all the stuff I could buy like crazy!
Does anyone else find themselves really affected by the ads on mylot? Do you want everything you see? Or is it just me??? ;P

Actually no since.
A. I look at mylot at work where the companies firewall keeps me from ebay.
B. My interests are rather "odd" & not likely to be found on any normal sites.
C. As a blacksmith & craftsman I prefer to make my own stuff.
D. Narato & Bleach are on Cartoon network already, I like them but don't care enough to buy them.

I've reduced my hobbies down to just a few, my hounds ( which have their own area outside ), Runescape ( which is played on the computer & has a single notebook set beside it ) & my blacksmithing/crafing that takes up most of my limited space. Knick nacks don't fall into any of those & are thus ignored. I have a few ( rather pricy ) statues set on the bookcase but other than those I don't bother with figures. My few ritual items are all hand crafted ( by myself ) & would be worth a small fortune if I were to actually consider selling them which I won't though I've had offers. Your not likely to find any of that type stuff sold online. While I do make some for sale, online isn't the place for them. You can't get a real feel for the item from a picture & I like to think the item finds its owner.

We're going to get way off topic on this but oh well...
I doubt you've really tried looking at something from a master craftsman of the old ways online. You can't get a good feel for the fit of a piece of armor or the balance of a blade or the energies bestowed upon it from a pic.
As an example. I have this one knife. Its pretty brutal looking like many of the other weapons I've made. However this particular one I forged after dealing with my ex wife ( For an idea on that situation you'll have to see my past posts ). I poured every bit of malice I had into that blade & it soaked it up. The thing is about as evil as an inanimate object can get. Anyone halfway tuned into these things can feel that it "wants" to hurt somebody just by handeling it. Someone holding it too long will start getting hostile. I keep it hidden away & rarely touch it or show it off now. A picture just wouldn't show its nature.

Hmm it sounds like you are more organized than me. I have so many scattered hobbies and such. ;P
I have made my own ritual items before, but I've also found some really nice ones made by others, and inherited some from my great-grandmother. I like to think I can get a feel for things even online, but that's just me.

*laughs* Well, I earn money, but it all goes to things like food, rent, bills, diapers and other baby stuff, and all that. Having a kid is expensive, I think he sucks up most of my money these days! =P
Ha, I could see being attracted to music instruments. There are a few different instruments that I used to play that I haven't in years, and I'm always tempted to pick one up and get back into it, but I fear it would be a waste since I'm so out of practice. :p
