Okay I saw it in my kitchen for a brief second and it ran behind my microwave. I put my cats up on the counter and they just jumped off. Right before I saw the dam thing I saw more poope where I put my silverware and a couple of days ago I cleaned that out. What can I do. I didnt get the traps yet. Im calling my husband and telling him to bring home a trap or two because this is freaking me out!

Hi TerryZ! If the mouse is still small, you can use a fly trap paper. The very sticky paper which is intended for flies but we use it with small mice and found it effective. Just place the paper where you always see the mouse running and you can be sure that when they pass that path it will surely get stucked on that paper and won't be able to escape. I just hope the fly trap paper is available in your area. Take care and have a nice day. :)

We had a lot of mice when I was growing up. We lives in town, but the town was surrounded by corn fields. Every year when it came time to harvest the corn we would get a bunch. We used regular traps and sticky papers. We also had a dog that loved to chase mice and a cat.Forget the mice like cheese thing. Mice LOVE peanut butter and dog food.

Don't freak out on us now. When you have the traps, the preferred bait is Peanut Butter. They can't seem to pass by without trying to get some. It might be a good idea to keep the cats away from it, too. Inside the silverware drawer might be another good place, just don't forget that you have a mouse trap in there or you will be reminded in a rather startling fashion. Good luck.

Hi Terry, go around your place and look for any open holes. There has to be an opening somewhere. Look under the sink where the pipes come through the wall and see if there are any spaces around there and get some steel wool in the hardware store and stuff the holes. My apartment building has mice but I don't because I stuffed any holes/spaces that they can get in. Check around the radiators too.

Wow, its the same with me, I just cant help and get excited when I see one or two running to and fron inside my bedroom. i hate the dirt that they leave and eating the papers that I have piled under my bed. I got really pissed off, so got a few fly papers cut them into four and have placed them in places where these rats usually pass through and to my relief I already caught cute ones glued on the fly papers. I was not really successful in getting rid of allof them coz I can still hear rat movements at night.
I will try another batch of rat cathing eposides and they better hide for their survival. I hope you can try doing this experiment that I have tried to be a good rat catching method.
Happy catching and trapping. Enjoy!

Sorry but this is getting funny. Right... serious now.=^-^=
K, get some cheese or peanut butter. They love that. Place that where the little buggar is most likely to appear. Get a box handy. One of substantial size. Wait and when it appears...courage now...smack the box over top of the thing. Take another box or cardboard and slowly and very carefully slip that under the box where the mouse is now captured. Carefully carry the thing out of the house and throw the buggar to the wind!
No more mousey.

The babies we found, my husband just caught them with his hand and put them outside.....We did set up a couple of traps that when they go inside they do something and take the poison home and it kills the rest of the brood...

i think mouse are smarter than traps or any ratkiller. i mean from what i experienced in our house, we rarely catch one with that... what you need is smarter cat... my father said mouse are more allergic to cat hair and their smell than ratkillers. Now we keep a couple of street smart cats in the house.. those that really love to catch rats...

well there are cats who are not into rats (like silvester :-) LOL) and there are cats who just love to play with rats by juggling them till they die of dizziness :-)

Are your cats indoors at night? I had a mouse problem and it took my cats about a month to catch the darn thing. I found it on the floor behind my dishwasher. I left music on at night in hopes that the mouse wouldn't hear my cats and I seriously think thats what did it. It was getting into my stove, face cloth drawers in the bathroom and on my counters. In my kitchen I blocked the sides of my stove to keep them off my counters and that worked. Since it had no where up high to hide my cats were able to catch the darn thing. You could also look up some home remedies online for some sort of smell they don't like or something. There is also something you can plug in that sends off a high pitched noise that you and your animals won't hear but the mice will and it will keep them away from your house altogether.
Anyways good luck with the pests
Hugs

Oh, I can't stand mice...they just freak me out. Thankfully we don't have any in our apartment. It is well insulated and with a 21Lb cat living here I don't think they would dare to come in.

For shame on Maggie and Molly, they are definitely not doing their jobs. Fire them! Are you sure they're cats? What kind of traps are you going to use, did your hubby get any? Definitely have to keep us posted on this. Cause unfortunately, where there's one mouse you no doubt have more, hate to say it I never liked the idea of any kind of traps especially the glue types. There is a new one out that kind of looks like a gigantic roach bait thing. A mouse can get in but can't get out

Hello terryz. Mice are a nuisance. They damage things with their sharp teeth and make noise at night when it is quiet while we are sleeping. I hope that a new trap would help a lot in getting rid of the mice in your house. Good luck, friend.
