U TORRENT What speed do i need?

I just started using u torrent but it seems i don't have the speed for it. What kind of broadband speed would i need? i currently have satellite b/band as cable isnt available in my area. its one way satellite with download speed of 512 max with little or no upload speed. The two way sat broadb is way too expensive but if i got it would an upload speed of 256 suffice? thanks

In order to have a steady download 512k will be more than enough but all P2P request upload as well and your problems might be due to your upload streams was too weak.
