I went on a one week holiday to Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, 11 years ago and the experience blew my mind to the point that less than one year later I moved to this place. Diving is a sort of Yoga, you relax so much that time goes by, a 1 hour dive seem like 15' in the water. Obviously if you have some fear glooming on your mind, then it gets amplified and it becomes really heavy to bear.
I have many favourite dives, all of them in the Red Sea, not so much for the shark passing by, but for seasonal changes in the sea...some ghost pipe fish settling themselves in for a few weeks, a titan trigger fish puffing on its eggs... Living in that place for more than 5 years and diving every day is an experience that you carry with you for the whole of your life.
