We know that death occurs anytime, right? It dooes not choose plce, time and ofcourse people...Will you agree to sign a organ donation card and carry it everyday so that if anything happens to you most like death, they will find this and thay know that you want to donate a part of your body? Will you do it?

I have signed up to donate my organas but i must check to see if it is still valid as I believe here in Australia they have updated their registry and i am not sure if it is just carried over or not, this is something I must do asap I think as it is a very important thing, I like the idea of helping someone when I am gone. Thank you for reminding me...

I haven't up to this point but would consider it. My organs are getting rather worn out so unless they want to use what I have to offer for further research, I wouldn't be of much help.

I've been an organ donor for years now. It's right on my driver's license. I really believe in it, if someone else can use one or more of my organs when I'm gone that's wonderful. I've heard of several lives being saved by one donor. To me that's the ultimate gift, and it really should be something to give the donor's loved ones something to feel proud of and it should be somewhat comforting to know he or she "lives on" in those her or she saved. Yes I will donate my body part...I'm already a organ donor...I figure I wont need them where I am going and if any of my part can be used to save a life then I want them to save that life...

Good discussion - thanks for providing, toteles. Yeah sure for YES is my answer, I love to donate my useful unused organ to the needy. It just like I have donated my blood for three times, previously. I am very happy as my blood has been accepted by blood bank in my country. Means my blood clean from any viruses or similitude to it. I am more on humanity concern in this case and science knowledge that makes me very understanding for organ donation. And I am very sincere for this kind of donation. As my last contribution to humankind.

The equilibrium between belief and scientific knowledge will foster the "state-of-mind". Even though I am not a religious person, but the scientific explanation does help my belief a lot. Contemplating our brave and craven attitude is just a "state-of-mind". "Kamikaze application system" if we take it positively for helping humankind, does help so much for the needy. Thank a million for your affinity, dropping-by.

I kind of have to agree with raychill, it gives me the creeps to think about it. But I also don't even like to think about dying either. Guess I'm just a big weenie.

I am a organ donor as is everyone in my family. On Nov.18th of this year it will be my brother in laws 4th New birthday. 4 years ago he received a heart transplant at the university of Penn in Philadelphia. He was on the waiting list for just over 2 years. We thank god everyday for the family that made the decision to donate there sons organs.

I am an organ donor. I feel like if something happens to me where I die, but my organs are still viable, why not help someone else with them? I mean, I can't use them anymore, why should I hold on to them for them to rot in the ground?

I have two pieces of 'donor' in me... I would not have healed without it! I have been an organ doner since they began listing it on drivers licenses here about 20 years ago. I want to help in whatever way I can, to give back what was given to me. It will just get burned up... and thats a terrible waste to a committed recycler!

I would definately be an organ donor, and I have made sure that my entire family knows of my wishes. Actually, I would like to donate my whole body to science when I die. The medical schools can use parts or whole bodies for research or for teaching. I think it would be a wondeful way to give something of myself back to society.

no problem with me! I wont be able to carry my body to after life anyway :) at least my body will be useful to others. (but if they would like to use my body to be tested by would be doctors i'd rather not let them have mine, i will hunt them first hehehehe)
