Do you think that kids watching to much tv is a bad thing?

If you have kids and your kids watch tv from 4-8. Do you think that is to much tv?

I think it is too much if they watch it the whole time from 4-8. When do they have time for homework and dinner? My son gets a snack after school and he gets to watch some television. Then he does his homework, and gets about 20 minutes of television while I am finishing dinner. After dinner he watches television with me until bedtime.
