I can't believe they treated you that way!! I'd definately be looking at talking to a lawyer. You might also call up the Hospital Director and let them know what happened. "COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS" **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

From one side, start with the State Board of Healing Arts, or whoever regulates doctors and nurses and their licenses. Tell them your experience. While you are at it, look for the agency that licenses your hospital. Also whoever is the supervisor of the EMT service. From the other direction, contact the press, the television media. Different viewing areas have basically muck raker shows where they go after. crooked, cheating people. Let them know what happened to you. Sensationalism makes good copy. If you can afford a lawyer, see him first.

That is horrible. First off, I would call the ambulance service and get the highest person in charge of the company, not the supervisor. Second, I would call the hospital administrator and have a meeting with them. I would not just sit and do nothing. If you have a lawyer, I would call and ask about a law suit. I would go to another Dr. and find out what he says. You may have other problems and then, if there is, you will definitely have a malpractice suit. I am sorry that you had to go through this, it was uncalled for. If you have insurance, I would also call them and tell them the treatment you recieved. Maybe they could tell you what you can do. Good luck and hope you get better soon.

as far as the "paramedic", if he could not get the needle in on the second try then he should have stopped there and went a different rout at that point he should have givin you the shot then. the ambulance ride well you have to remember that around here they are all volenteers (except one) so if it was one of the many volenteer companies i really dont think you can do to much there. the hospital experiance i would launch a complaint with the board of directors there to start.the last thing you need to remember is you live in warren county!!!!! the place where people don't give a crap about others only their gosh darn self!!!! oh but wait the only people that do care about you is the politicians when it comes to voting then after that it is the same old town nobody cares.... people around here needs to learn some good old southern hospitality!!!!!!!! but i will say that there are some people in this area who are the exception..i hope you are getting better... but oh yeah have you went to another hospital or went and got help anywhere eles since you have been home?? if so you could find out from the other what is wrong and what should have been done and maybe they will be help you out in some way...good luck.

That is not very good. I hope you are making progress now. If that happened our way, both the ambulance service and hospital would have been investigated. Paramedics are not allowed to pick patients up, but do have the duty of care to ensure you don't suffer more trauma. I know what having some one missing a vein feels like. Damned trainee nurses! All I wanted was the stupid thing in and be done with it! oh well, they do have to learn. If this paramedic really didn't know his job, then he shouldn't be working. As for the hospital staff, they should have treated you with more respect. I'm sure there are legal aid services who would be more than happy to help you lodge a complaint. Or a private law firm, but remember their fees are percentage based. I do know that these days, once the initial injury has started to mend, they do like to get you up and about as quickly as possible to prevent other complications. Muscle seizure and loss of mobility often result from being bed ridden for too long. Getting up and about, though slowly and for short times, helps with blood flow and can help with a quicker recovery. Even women who have had a c-section are kicked out of bed 4 hours later so they can start moving normally. All this is usually done under the watchful eye of medical staff and they are never left alone when out of bed. I hope you are able to get some justice for the added traumas you have suffered. If I was your way, I would help you set up a legal claim, but not qualified and on the other side of the world. Keep all your bills, prescription reciepts and all the rest for when you do make a claim. These will have to be reimbersed too. I believe that your medical insurance plans are very unfair and I am greatful that our system here means that we are all entitled to free medical cover. As sad as your situation is, it makes me realise just how lucky I am to grow up and live in a country that cares for it's citizens.

I am so sorry about all your trouble you've been having!! I hope this finds you to be feeling better. I'm really behind on my mylotting so I'm so sorry I'm getting to you so late. I really don't know if you'll be able to sue anyone. It's really hard to say without all the specifics. Good luck though and let me know what's going on.

This is the worst experience with doctors i have ever heard! How could he treat you that way instead of helping you. I hear that nurses misstreat patients but a doctor for God's sake? All in all, I dont think its adviceable for you to take a lawyer coz you dont have evidence to fix that goon of a doctor. Just thank God you are ok and for him to change so that nobody undergoes what happened to you. Get well soon.

whatever happened to you is the worst thing that can happen to a patient. especially one that was in so much pain. i think there is no excuse for whatever he did because the main reason why he was there was to make you feel better, not worse! but i think you should just let nature take its course on him. like you said, he's already an old guy. Just thank God that nothing bad happened to you after the way he treated you. anyway, i hope you get better! and don't keep on thinking about that rude old man. it would only destroy your day. just think about it, you are so affected and it affects what you do everyday and that old man may not even remember what he did to you. get it? you are just stressing yourself over a person who is not worth it.
