My husband and I have 3 kids. One child is 19 and no longer lives at home. Do you think the younger kids at home should get more things for Christmas than the child that is now living on his own? My husband feels that he is older and shouldn't expect the same amount of things the younger kids get. I personally feel guilty about that, but maybe he has a point? How do yall handle this situation with your kids?

I try to make sure that I spend equal amounts on all the kids. I don't spend a fortune on any of them. For the kids that live on their own I buy items that the need for the household. One nice item for the older ones, and more gifts for the younger ones. How old are your younger children?

I personally give all my kids the same $$ amount...not quantity. Hope that helps!

I agree with most responses - I would give them equal amounts.

I have 6 sibling 2 of which are still at home and other then my parents giving more gifts to one of us we all got the same amount of stuff for my parents if they couldn't afford a lot at Christmas then us older ones would get ours with income tax time and the younger ones would get theirs on Christmas I hope this helps you

I think that the reason it always seems like you get more for Christmas when you're little is because all you want is toys. When you're older your wishlist includes more things like ipods and dvd players, and alot more of the electronics stuff. I suggest spending the same amount of money on all of your kids, even if that means the younger ones get 4 or 5 gifts and the older one only gets 1 thing, but it's more expensive and something he/she really wants.
