i prefer u not to give up first. give the realtionship a chance. i think ur fiance act like that bcoz he is insecured with ur ex-husband. why dont u speak to him heart to heart and assure him that past is past. ur x is the past and he is the today and tomorrow. have him undestand that he hurt u everytime he drink and jealous w/ ur x. sometimes reassurance can make the things patch up.

dont stay wit a man who drinks and says stupid things like oh you are nicer to him than you are to me you have been through enough he needs to grow up and if he loves you he will see that he is being silly and if not sling him out.you and your children come first their is enough f****d up men in the world without you and your children to be involved with another one.

First of all, He has to be the one who wants to quit, you can't do it for him. This is a very bad situation and could be a deadly one. You hear about these things all the time on the news. Be very carefull with your decision. My niece has been married to the same man for 29 years and he is very abusive when he drinks and is jealous all the time. He is even jealous of her going anywhere with her mom. It doesn't have to be her fault either, someone can say something to her and it will set him off. even if it is a friend of her son's. Even if the abuse is verbal and not physical, it can ruin your life. Also you don't want your children in this situation. He may even start to resent them for bringing their father around.
