Yep, just read about it now. The device basically looks like an oversized microwave where you open its door, insert your pet and lock the door. Then you punch in your choices. For example, do you want your cat to be shampooed? Do you want it to receive treatment for fleas, etc. After a few minutes, the pet is washed. However, it may be traumatized for life. I, for one, would never get any of those pricey devices, which cost 30 thousand apiece, for my cats. Besides, my cats don't need to be washed. They do a fine job cleaning themselves. Interestingly, 90% of the people who heard about this device also said that they would never buy or use it.

But how do you know when the dog is cooked properly? Does it have an automatic fork that prods it? For 30K you could import a chef from Korea where they know how to cook dog properly. Ye Gods, whatever next! haha

When it stops twitching & the hair falls off its done. P.S. for $20 you could just take it to your closest oriental restaurant. There's a cat in the kettle at the peking moon. The same place where I eat every day at noon. They say its cow ,chicken or pork but there's a hairball on my fork, yea yea, garfields on my fork.

I suppose it would depend on how safe the isntrument was. Everywhere people seem to be looking for faster alternatives to normal day-to-day activities, which in some way seems to take the pleasure out of most everyday tasks. Not to say washing a pet is that 'fun,' or anything - but interaction between pets and people can be enjoyable. And if it isn't enjoyable, why would you want a pet in the first place? I mean what's next? Will they have automatic food and water dispensers, automatic kennel cleaners? Automatic machines to throw balls or dangle string? If the device was proven to be effective and safe, and cause no emotional or mental harm to an animal then I would have no objection using it, however unless I can be assured of this, then it's unlikely I would take the risk with a beloved pet.

Will they have automatic food and water dispensers, automatic kennel cleaners? Automatic machines to throw balls or dangle string? Actually they do. You can find the automatic food & water dispensers & your local pet or department store. They already have automatic cat box scoopers & ball launchers. My wife even bought one of the string danglers. The cat just ignored it.

I would never put my pets in such a thing. I do believe you when you say the pet will be traumatized for life. I saw something of a "pet wash" in our town..right next to a gas station. I think however..it consists only of a table and hose etc..I don't think it's anything like putting your pet into some microwave shaped box.

I can not imagine them being able to sell very many of those machines due to price. It will probably upset people too because they would not want to put their pets through a machine that could break down and possibly kill their pet. I would not trust a machine to clean an animal. I feel that anyone who gets this machine does not deserve a pet.

Wow, talk about a quick and expensive way to make your pet hate you. YOu might get the cat in there once, but you'd probably lose a limb the second time you tried it. Personally, I've only had to wash my cat twice in 10 years when he got into some nasty stuff. Usually an occasional brushing is all he needs to help him out. And the dog gets a bath once a month, but that's pretty easy at this point, since a bag of doggie treats goes a long way towards easing anxiety in the tub. I can't imagine even wanting to own a pet if you weren't even willing to wash it yourself (or hire someone, it would still be cheaper and less traumatic for the animal!).

Seriously..what they don't have! I wonder how many poor lab animals suffered through that thing for them to test it.Sound barbaric to me where did you hear about it? I think our world has gone just a little nuts on the automatic. I guess if you compare your pets to dishes, laundry or your vehicle it would be a great idea but to me that would be somewhat like bathing them in the dishwasher. I wonder who the 10% are that would use this I certainly hope they don't have pets.
