Is ther really such thing as true religion?

I think religions were created just to make people more civilised but like all good things do- this also has finished serving its purpose to some extent and is becoming root of some serious conflicts. No relgion is different fronm the others. They all teach one thing-Be kind, Be honest, treat others as equals. But we fail to follow the essence of this teachings and start making religion as a matter of our own pride-something that feeds our own egos and has got nothing to do with God. Churches, Gurdwaras , Mosques and Temples all have so much wealth accumulated over the years but , they fail to serve humanity when its most needed. No religious institution, atleast those I have heard of spend money on famine victims or flood victims or just homeless. If they did so , we could solve most of our problems in this regard. Not jus oen meal but I am talking of actually being responsible for the people in every way.

I honestly believe that there is a true religion because the bible says so in James 1:27: "Pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world". I believe we are practicing the true religion in our congregation.

if you are very serious about what you have ask -- i would say to you that every one is gifted with the brain mind and logic by god,it is importent for every one who are seriously in the quest of true religion to know and think that the main purpose of the creation is to live in the way god wants us to live with peace and brotherhood, the true religion is the humanity so the religion which calls towards the humanity is the true religion, the religion which has the heighest moral values in it is the true religion. study the teachings of the different religions and you will know that their is a true religion in the world. let me know when you find that religion, with your explainations if you can. thank you.
