I am a teacher in a public high school. And i am handling third and fourth year students whose number is so huge for a computer class. I've been using a lot of approaches, techniques and styles ,yet i am not contented with the result of the learning and responses of my students. I have only actually 6 working computers and my students reachers to 60+. It's really a burden to me although i have applied groupings, scheduling and they like. Still i am looking for some ideas that would alleviate my tiresome work with them. Though i love teaching. What i want perhaps are some ideas coming from the teachers out there who could help me out this problem of mine. I fervently hope that somebody would share his/her expertise in this field. God bless and more power!

Well i dont know if you are working on typeing along with the computer skills but if you go to yahoo. and then groups and type in your county.. like i would putr mine as onslow county,or frankling county.. look to find a free cycle on there.and ask to see who is willing to dontate computers or even just keybored.cause you can always have the sit there and practice typing on the keybored. and get the typing skills up.and they can do that plus other things whiole they are waiting for the group to be on the computers..

Its nice that you have made people learn by dividing em in groups..My teacher used to handel around 200 in her tenure..thing she used to do was she used to make students learn on their own..most of time..she used to give more of assignments..So students became independent..she used to share responsibiliteis wid her own students..like she used to allote students to aid other students..we had more leaders, thinkers ..researchers and innovative people emrging out of that so called crowd..

You need more computers! That's ridiculous. How can they learn if the resources are lacking. That's disgraceful. Have you checked around with businesses to see if they can donate some old computers? Also check out www.donorschoose.org.
