Does anyone know of any special remedies that acutally work for a baby cutting teeth? I use teething tablets but they don't seem to work real well? I feel so bad because there's nothing I can do to help ease her pain. If anyone has any special remedies or secrets please help me.

I used to buy my son those gerber teething biscuts and put them in the freezer. He loved them and it kept him busy for a while. Just make sure that you put your child in a highchair or somewhere that a mess will be ok because those biscuts can get messy!

A Pediatrician Friend once told us to take liquid Benedryl and rub on the gums. It will numb it some and will also be just a tad bit enough to relax the child. It worked. I currently work for a dentist and he states that the oral gels are ont good for the gums, even for adult tooth aches. I does not reccommend them. They taste bad too. The thing about the benedryl is it doesn't taste bad and the child doesn't fight you when you try to put it on. Another trick I would use in the summer time...I would take a wet wash rag and freeze it. then I would give it to the kids to chew on. It wasn't messy, didn't have to worry about them biting into a gel toy making a mess or getting some dangerous chemical in their mouth.

Massage her gums with your finger! You can also massage her gums with orajel! This will help her teeth go ahead and break through, then she'll get some relief from the pressure! Massaging them will actually help naturally numb them also! The orajel will relieve the pain also! If she seems feverish, go ahead and give her childrens' tylenol to help her relax! We raised six of them, plus grandkids!

teether, pain relieving teether - teether is good for relieving pain in children
Try to give soft teether so that she can chew on that and feel comfortable. It comes in fruity flavor too. That is the best thing u can give without hurting her. Take care.

i ever gave him a teeth gel toy.but he did not like it ,seldom into his mouth, just toy. you could give him/her some foods of a tad hard, such as teething cookie, cucumber strip.they could chew in mouth, that would make them feel better.
