who do you prefer? Yao Ming or Yi Jianlian

which one do you prefer, yao ming or yi jianlian. both of them are NBA stars. Yao ming have been a super star in both in American basketball fans and chinese fans. but Yi jianlian is a new player in NBA. both of them played well. i like them both. which one do you like more?

i prefer Yi Jianlian because even if Yao is better in terms of blocking, rebounding and inside shooting, Yi is better in 3 point shooting,and outside scoring.
According to my observation, Yi has a higher potential of being a superstar because though he's young, he plays the same level as Yao Ming.

I disagree that right now, Yi is playing at the same level as Yao. While Yi is better in 3-point shooting and outside scoring, those are two things Yao doesn't really need to do that to maximize his presence on the floor. Yi has the freedom to shoot from the outside because he's a forward and he does that better than Yao (no question), but compared to a lot of players playing the three or four position he's about average at best. On the other hand, compared to other players playing the center position, Yao Ming's out there with the best of them, maybe even being the most dominant among them right now.
Another thing, Yao Ming (22 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 2.3 APG) is scoring, rebounding, and dishing out twice more than Yi Jianlian (9.2 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 0.9). The difference is miles away and it'll take Yi a few more years to get to the level where Yao is at right now. Perhaps Yao can nab the MVP trophy if he can keep up with his improvements in the next few seasons, and it remains to be seen whether Yi can follow his footsteps and be one of the best playing his position.

Obviously, the better player right now is Yao Ming. Prior to his season-ending foot injury, he's been posting impressive numbers and was even considered to be one of this year's MVP candidates earlier in the season. There is, at this point, no point of comparison between the two players because this is Yi Jianlian's campaign year and there's no telling what distance he can reach in the NBA just yet.
Yao Ming at one point speculated that Yi's going to be better than him at his prime and looking at how the newcomer's performed with the Milwaukee Bucks so far, you can tell that the player's definitely got potential, but really, right now, there's no comparison.

yes. yi is a newer in NBA. yao has been there for years. it is said that the Rocket is the only team in nba that earn money for his boss, just because yao is there. im not sure about that. but yao is really a super star in china. we love him. yi is good. i love him too.

i prefer Yao Ming than yijianlian. i think they both good. but i think yaoming is more skilly. he is taller than yijianlian.

Both two players I love,because they are my country superstar who get into NBA.I have like Yao for about 4 years,so if I must have a choice,I would prefer Yao.Also Yao is more skillful and strong than Yi.He have stayed in NBA for a long time and have adapted to the aggrissive match.
It's just the situation now and I think I will love Yi as equal some years after,for the pride of nation.

Yi Jianlian is I think better becuase he is more athletic than Yao. Yao maybe tall but even if Yi is still talented than him. I saw them playing in the Asian games though Yao is being cheered more than Yi , I think the more prolific scorer is still Jianlian.
