When it comes to Light and his Death Note, would you be like him?

Somehow i'm starting to like Light Yagami, not only because he kills off the most dangerous of criminals in the world, but since he's a top-ranked school guy in Japan, he's already planned how to destroy his Death Note just in case he is caught, discovered or arrested.
It's like he's one step ahead of everything, Death Note or not. How he outsmarts L at every step, keeps the police and even the FBI guessing, maybe that's why I like him a lot.
But imagine that the real world also had a Shinigami realm, and that their realm is falling apart. Then all of a sudden, you find a different-colored notebook that can kill anyone by seeing their face and name, and has instructions on how to use it.
If you had a Death Note in posession, what would you do with it, and how would you hide it from the police or the FBI?

simple. i wouldn't kill on a regular basis. Light was discovered because he killed mostly at times when he has no classes. so the police concluded that he was a student. second, i would avoid killing people that can be found on the same area. because that's one of the main points too how the police discovered Kira. ^__^
i would use it. i'll probably be shocked too upon the realization that its really real and i'd probably be tormented because i killed someone but if the person i killed is a worthless, notorious criminal, then i think i'd probably reasoned out with myself that what i did can be justified. just like Kira. ^__^;;
