What do you do when you colour your hair and it does not turn out the way you want it. Few weeks I went to the hair dresser and had my hair done (I dont often do that). When I got out the hair was still a bit wet so I dint mind the coulor but once it was dry it looked horible. I didnt look my self in the mirror for few days hoping that when I see my self agoin it would look ok. It didnt so I washed my hair few times to get the colour out. Now it looks semi ok (it was honey blond but more like orange and I had bond foils that I love) so the colour came off a bit now I have some other colour that I will put in so it looks darker. What do you do in such situations?

Oh Myyyyyyyyyyy!
You have honey color and want to put in a darker color!
STOP!!!! I am an expert on haircolors failing on me!
You do that and your hair will turn GREEN!
I did that, ended up having to cut off my long hair as short as almost bold to get out the color, there is no way back once it is green.
You should have went back to the place where you got your hair done, and asked for your money back.
I say this, but like you I did my hair myself and it turned green.LOL.I did not go back either.LOL
What you can do, is get the box that takes out the color, this will make your hair look white/orange/blond. Then you can safely put in the dark color. I did not do that, I put in the dark color and it turned green. LOL.
So first take out the color by bleaching the hair.
Read the instructions carefully, they tell you exactly what to do.(This is a box with very light blond/white haired person on it)Tells you how to get the color out.
Then Put in the color you want to have.
Good Luck!
Have a nice day.

first of all I will tell you a trick for green colour you get ketchup or tomato sause and you put it on your hair and live it in for as long as you can that should help.
I will go into details of what happen in my case. I (as I said) have a veru long hair so decided to do somethin very different. She put in black to the ends (about 20cm) than some red and than she put the cap thing and got some strands and put in bleach and (as I am dark blond almost light brown) she put it a lighter shade of blond (honey blond or something) now that on its own wasnt the problem so much (but still not 100% happy about the shade) but where the colour tuched the bleached hair it looked bad (to me everyone said it was ok but me). So now I used normal shampoo not the one for coloured hair and that is gone to a point that I can watch my self in the mirror. but will put something on it when I have more time. At the end of the day I am not too fussed about my hair its only hair it grows back.

no you are right about the whole thing except when you want to change the colour a bit (2-3 shades up or down) than there is no need to put bleach. I have never used bleache on my whole hair (well I have but my hair was black for 2 years and I re aplied ever 4-6 weeks to have the rich colour and than no one wanted to tuch it because it would have burned my hair) so the hair dresses used very weak mixture of bleach few times over 24 hours period but it didnt work well.

The colour is now fine and I didnt want to go back because I dont like having it done so soon as I have a very sensitive hair (it takes my hair 5 min for bleach to work). I dont have digital camera to show you guys. But now its ok. the orange is gone.

The last time I colored my hair, I let a friend do it and it was a nightmare. I started out wanting copper highlights in my hair. It turned out a sick fire engine red. Then the friend decided we'd just put a dark brown over it and that would make it allright. I didn't want dark brown but it would be better then the sick fire engine color.
Well, it turned out looking like poo-poo brown...it was all streaky and sick looking. The friend then decided that we would just strip it out and it would go back to normal. We put the stripper in and let it sit as the instructions said. When it came time to rinse it out...IT WAS LIKE OATMEAL!! It was stuck to my head and you couldn't even get your fingers under it. I had to wrap it and go to a professional hair stylist (I should have started there to begin with) and ended up having it shaved off. I had less then a fourth of an inch of hair. Oh, did I mention that my hair was all the way down to my butt???
Since then I have never colored my hair and never plan to. I am just happy with what I have.

WOW well that's what friends are for right. :)))) your hair got that way because you already damaged your hair by colouring it 2 times and than the bleach just finished it off. Thats why you are not suposed to do it often. My hair is the same lenght as you I can actually sit on it if I dont tie it up.

Hi violet-va,yes i put a color in my hair 5 years ago thinking it would go almost black like my moms hair, but it turned out red, hahaha!I dont know what happened, the colorist in the pharmacy said it would be o.k,but i now know i need a color with no ashe in it as it turns my brown hair to have redish tones and sometimes orange highlights.I do not color my hair anymore since then and stick to my brown hair.

I never colour my hair .My mother don't let me do that ,but i want to try .I once saw my friend who wanted to colour her hair turning purple but it turned out with red. When she saw herself in the mirror she wanted to turn it to former colour again at once. The hair was too exaggrated.but it was not good for hair,so she washed her hair more ofen to make it weak.
So now i afraid to colour my hair. The colour always do not turn out what colour you want it to be.

The best thing is to ask a profesional what colours you can use and not do it your self. Even get the rince onces (that only stay for few washes) it would give you an idea and if you dont like it just wash it wef times and that is it.

I would recommend that you go back to the hair dresser and explain to her that you are not happy with what she did in coloring your hair and see if she will offer or be willing to correct your color for free or at least for a reduced cost.

well most colours suit me (I have tried a lot ages ago) blueberry was my fav and black. My skin is not to dark not too white and I have dark blond almost light brown hair.
I dont colour my hair for the same reason as you. Having a very long hair I dont want to dry it out too much.

i have only tryed to put streaks in my hair one time and my hair was to dark to ake the blue and i had to bleach it first. Well the bleach took and the blue still didnt and i ended up with a few streaks that i let grow out and vowed to never do that again.

I love when I have foils or streaks done but I hate going to the hair dresser because I have a very long hair and it hurts when someone is brushing it.
What do you mean blue? as in blue colour? I know the bleach is blue?
