My first name was my great-great-grandfather's name, which is funny because now it's seen as a female name more often. My second name has been held by many woman in my family historically, but none that I knew.
My first name means "happy" or "cheerful" and my second name means "full of grace" or "merciful".
I do not think either of these names suit my personality. However, as my life has gone on, I have more and more made them a part of myself. My names are like goals for me to achieve, rather than simple descriptors.
I would never change my name. I didn't even change my last name when I got married, even though I do not have a strong link to my family, nor do I even like my last name. But names have power, and I have fought hard to become the person I am today, and I will not give up my name, since it is part of that person I have become.

My name was of a great political leader whom my father liked and followed his principles, who has lead moments in late 1950's. I liked the name and I did not thought about changing it at any time. When I was in difficulties one of my friend told me that numerologically my name is not good. I told him what ever be the problem, i will face it, but I will not change my name.

My grandmothers on both sides had the same name and I was named after them. Easy way out for my parents huh? The funny thing is that from the minute they took me home from the hospital they called me by my middle name because they felt the name was too big for a little baby...lol. I always hated the name and only use it for legal purposes. I would have changed it but I go by my middle name now and it's fine with me.

I liek my name it is Curtis Adam. the adam came from my brother wanting to name me Heman(adam was hemans real name). the Curtis was just something my dad chose and my mom wanted chris so not a big deal either way. But people always called me Curt which is "short" in the dictanary and i was short all through school so i would always say it was about me.
