Alcoholism at its worst

This is very sad. Yes, I do know people who are trying to escape painful reality in their lives and not realizing it is causing MORE pain. Congratulations to you for your self-rebuilding accomplishments. I'm sure you are fully aware that no one can "fix" anyone else, so how do you intend to sway your neighbor into doing something just because others say he/she "should"? I think that AA is NOT always necessary and for those who do not believe in Christianity, it can be quite irritating and pointless as well. Good luck to you and to your neighbor as well. :)

Yes. My neighbor is ruin he life her sons and effecting everyone else in her family and my biggest problem is she is my girlfriends mom.It sucks we live in a duplex and she is single and has no job and complains about being broke yet has money for the bar every night. I dont know what me or my girlfriend can do to help but i am sick of her brother calling at 11 at night to say they have no food and she is at the bar and making my girlfriend feel bad and have to run out at that time of night to buy him food and make me stay up because we have a 6 week old baby and then i dont get to bed and have to be up by 6 to go to work. Her brother suffer third degree burns last week and need her but where was she at the bar. Is there a way to make her go to AA? the Only thing I can think is to have her get pulled over for DUI but I cant because the bar she goes to is around the corner from are house. Today she said she hates my girlfriend because she told on her to her grandpa that she went out all week so now he wont give her more money so she cant go out, But im sure when I get home from work tonight she will be there. She has said she will pawn family airloms if she has too to go to a party one night to make my girlfriend give her money.Some one please what do we do she wont listen?????sorry that was so long but i seen the discussion and know this was my chance to get it off my chest!
