I have had both the mumps,measles and chicken pox. I actully ended up with chicken pox twice. I think because the first time I had them they didn't last that long. The second time I had a really bad case of them.

I've had the Chicken Pox but my children never have and never will. They have to be vaccinated against that also to attend the public schools here. I was only 3 when I had the Chicken Pox so I don't really remember it. I do have two scars from it though. One is on my chin and is barely noticeable and the other is on my belly and is quite obvious. It doesn't matter though because after 6 children a little scar on my belly doesn't amount to much lol!

Well, since I'm over 50, we didn't have shots for them when I was a child so, yes, I did have mumps and measles and chicken pox.
I actually caught the mumps on all 6 salivary glands, one after the other! So I was sick FOREVER it seemed. First on the right side, then on the left, then on the right, then on the left, right/left! I thought I was never going to get better!
I don't remember the measles as well, probably because I was younger, but I do remember laying in bed with the blinds all drawn watching the sun move across the bedcovers because I had chicken pox.
I've actually been that sick a few other times which has reinforced the image. But I didn't run as high a fever as my brother.
I'm glad they have shots against these deseases now.

yes I have had the mumps and the measles one of them i had twice just dont remember which one it was and my mom cant remember either. there was five of us boys and everyone of us has had everything except me I have not had the chicken pox and now my daughter has them and I am worried that I might catch them from her even though I have been around them many times and never caught them which is amazing, I hear it is very dangerous for an adult to get them? have you eveer heard of anyone older getting them?

I've had the chicken pox.
I got it when I was six months old.
The docs said I could get them again because I had them at such an early age but I never did.
And I was around those with chicken pox too.

I had measles when i was little so i couldn't really remember it.
i had the chickenpox when i was in middleschool and i really hated it because i wasn't able to attend our Recognition Day and i wasn't able to participate in our presentation (all of us with honors were to present something as a special number). i remember i was watching all my other classmates practicing for the presentation and i was there on one corner, feeling ill and feeling bad. ^__^;;
and then i had the mumps when i was in college during our practicum in a fish farm. that was one hot sunny day when i felt my cheeks were hurting and it got bigger. ^.^ i had a fever then also and i was excuse from work! that was the good thing of it. LOL

I had the chicken pox when I was really young. Most of my kids have had them very young too. I am just waiting for my youngest to get them because the rest got them so young too. :-)

i was told that i had the chicken pox as a child of 1 or 2 years old, so i really don't remember that experience. But i had some scars of it in my arms and legs, though they're not noticeable. I never had the mumps, but i had the measles when i was in 2nd or 3rd grade. i had vaccinations for measles and mumps as a baby, but i guess you can't help but still have it at a certain age. Even if you do get it as a kid, teen or adult, at least it would be less threatening if you were vaccinated.
