Through the revelations and surveys conducted by NASA and other scinetific community now its clear that Earth was formed in 4600 millions years ago with Big-Bang, happened in the earily universe. But there is a very starnge thing is mentioned in the Holy Bible that earth the age of earth is only 8000 years old, and if the bible is true then what about science which has another defination of life. Who is lier God or Man?

Well for one God cannot lie, because God is God! Then if you do not believe in God, therefore God is just a creation of man's thought therefore it is Man that lied about his beliefs in God (religion)!
But there is a problem with big Bang, it is just a theory. Maybe they were able to explain the discrepancies in dates (although the dating method has always been questionnable) but has never explained how a Big Bang would cause formation of life.
A friend told me, when an explosion happens in a junk yard, it will not make or form a car nor a bike but rather a disintegration or dissolution of everything that is in there.
And that's seen in everyday life, atrophy, everything wasting away!

Small thought for you here taurus67
When you are older and get sick ( be it from cancer or any illness ) who will you turn to for help? god? or the hospital?
if you turn to get then you can pretty much say you will not have a fighting chance because he's not going to come down and touch you on the head and tell you your cured
but if however you turn to the hospitals then you are accepting science to be greater than god, science is man made we create it in our minds and then put it unto practical use.

As to creation, shall we believe men who came from the apes but don't know where the apes came from? These are the men who prefer to follow their own selves rather than be subjected to God who proclaim Himself and let people know Him thru the Holy Bible. Man was created by God more than 6,000 years ago but the earth was already there and so there's no way we know how old is the earth and God says that we are not to know what is not in our authority to know. God wills all men to be saved and to come into a full knowledge of the truth. Knowledge of what God don't allow us to know is not an element of salvation.

One is a theory based on some findings while the other is based on faith. Before modern technology was invented Many people use religion as a science. Now that we have technology advance enough to find out some answers you can use that if you want. I suspect that many people use religion or god as a secruity blanket.

A lot of people use pretended human relationships as security blankets. As Rousseau said 'Romantic love is a dleusion invented by women so that men will provide them and their offspring with a roof and with food...' Can't argue with that one. Sorry Ms. Greer.

If God exists then he cannot by definition be a liar. (Being all good and all knowing) If on the other hand he existed (past tense)and as voltaire said is a clockmaker who has created the Universe, wound it up and then moved on to other things thern there is no contradiction between the two figures you mentioned. Science increasingly admits that not all things can be known and that paradox is at the heart of the Universe. (unless of course you are richard dawkins)- the increasing coming together of what can be loosely described as rationalism and mysticism is typical of our age. As it was of the last years of the Roman Empire. hey - who knows, but an open mind is surely healthier than a closed one.

The problem with your question is with your Conception of "Beginning of the Earth", one thing is the Time of the Universe creation, and another the Time Line of the Beginning Humankind wich start with the fall of the man wich start aprox. 6000 or 7000 year before, these are two different thinks.
1 day for GOD is like 1000 days and 1000 days is like 1 day - the time is a human perception.

I think nobody's lying. They both might be telling the truth and only what they could perceive. This one question and it's numerous answers would only take they mystery further which we like so much. The whole point is finding your God rationally and the moment you discover him the controversy ends right there, never to show up again!
Cheers

Both, God created science for man to use it and figure our how everything began. Without science, where would we all be? God, gave everything life, and gave man science to use as man pleases. We just have to evolve further to grasp the full meaning of it all. We are not there yet, but we are getting there.

I truley believe that the bible and science go hand in hand. It is mans interpatation of the science that is the trouble. I don't understand how It is clear that the earth is 4600 million years old. I don't understand how something can come from nothing. Even the big bang had to have something to become or even happen. Something had to put those elements there for the big bang to happen. When i look at those pictures that NASA has taken it just blows my mind that the earth is hanging out there on nothing ang just keeps circling the sun in it's palce and not slowing down. To me it is just more proof that the hand of God is in control.

Well, thats very easy to answer! The Bible was written when the earth was only 8000 years old! Thats 4600 millions minus 8000. Yes its an OLDE book theres no question. And the olde guys who wrote it were still climbing trees and eating coconuts at the time. But they were talking with God, and He told them the Truth! Lets just say that every word in the bible was true when they wrote it, but there's been a lot of monkeys born since then!

Ok, first of all, there is no definitive proof of the earth's age. Carbon dating methods are HARDLY 100% reliable, nor is there a distinct timeline in the Bible. The Big Bang is such a laughable "theory" that even scientists have discarded it. If you want me to go into details on that one, let me know, lol. If the earth was not designed and created, there must have been another way for the raw materials to appear out of nothing and form themselves. I know it's a stretch, but hey...
Blessed Be

The question is why believe in god in the first place? How logical is creation? Why would a superior being create an inferior being? Where did God come from? If God has no origin than who is to say the universe has no origin either.

Science is based on fact, while the concept of God is MERELY based on faith and on a persons religious beliefs, which are most often influenced by society. While there are many religions with different versions of God, that are oftentimes misaligned from each other, science is based purely on systematic data gathering and mathematical theories. Go anywhere and a mention of scientific theory would lead to discussions that are not so much in opposition to each other because, scientific method uses a standardized approach in explaining nature. Science is FACT, God is FICTION.

I believe in the fact that'Nature Is The Greatest Scientist'. That Nature is some kind of Force that we do not undestand fully. We can call it GOD. So God only knows when the earth was actually created but we all-including the scientic community -can have our own explainations and beliefs.
Scientists provide us with some proof of their findings so it is easier to believe them at times. It does not mean to say that the Bible is wrong. May be the the 'length' of the year is different in their case.Who knows how they came to that calculation, and conclusion.
But I would not call any one wrong. Both statements may have some truth to them.
