Have you ever figured out why don't you get much response in mylot?

Subha! I notice that there is no set formula or trick for getting more responses. It lot depends upon the nature of the discussion, I feel. If the discussion is easier one eg...which colour you like...what is your favourite cell phone....you are likely to receive more responses....but if the discussion is serious one number of responses will be less in numbers.

i can't really figure out why. i too, have posted discussions which only receive one or two or none responses at all. maybe i have few friends only? or maybe we can ask also ourselves why we don't respond to some discussions posted by others? from there we can have an idea why some of our discussions don't receive responses. we can ask ourselves: what topics would i want to respond to? the easier or familiar ones that doesn't really need some thinking? or those that i am more familiar about? based on these questions, we can figure out what topics to post so as to solicit responses.

even i dont know the answers for this question buddy. i strarted this same topic long back. however they gave some tips like increase ur friends, do quality posts, respond to whoever post in ur discussion, start a interesting topic(but thats what is difficult!) and so on. all the best buddy!

I have always thought that having lots of friends in my list is the main reason that I get lots of responses. but now that you mentioned having less responses even with having lots of friends, then I guess the way you write your discussion and your topic could be a major key too. ^__^ I guess you have to make your discussion title interesting and attractive and your discussion details should be written in a manner that it's easy to understand, not too serious, as much as possible fun to read with hints of jokes here and there, and kind of silly. ^__^;; but I will still suggest to add and add more friends. ^__^ and make sure you reply as much as possibleto every responses to your discussions because everytime you respond, your discussion goes on top of your friends' "discussions my friends started". ^__^ hope that helps. ^__^ goodluck!

I think many good points have already been brought up so I won't repeat. :P But hey, I think you've got quite a few responses here... it's not that bad. FYI, the earnings are so low now that I don't think you will make much more even if you get more responses. :(

Yes initially when I started my account i felt the same , but now a days the responses to my discussions are satisfactory. I found that the topic where we have put in my lot is the only which drws the attention and get you the responses.

Most people just do not like me, or they just want to avoid the question.

In the beginning i was worried why my discussions are not fetching more responses..but not anymore since whatever response i get my friends and other mylotters for my discussions with which iam satisfied... some time i post some discussions aiming for more response and unfortunately i get very few and for some post which are not much for debate get more response..i really dont understand ..

Nope, I have not really figured out why my discussions don't get that much response. But frankly I have not really bothered finding out why, maybe it's just the way it is.

It doesn't happen to me for very long time. And when that happend it was when I was new here and didn/t have that much friends here. So i think that was really problem. Also maybe if you post discussion about specific thing not many people know about, they have no chance to write something, if they don't have any knowledge.Like I was having discussion about posting orginal topic and you can still do it, but you have to also find topic, people would be interested about.

I don't get a whole lot of response either but I don't have hundreds of friends and I don't get a whole lot of time to be on here. I have been trying to put in an extra few minutes here and there lately, but I still answer a whole lot less than most on mylot it seems.

I think people have different interests. Sometimes there are just some posts that I have nothing to say about. Sometimes people are busy and don't have time to answer. Also, people want to be able to write a few sentences on the topic in order to get the credit for the post.

Hi subha! A nice discussion to start! I don't know exactly but I think possibly better the topic of starting a discussion, better will be the number of responses. Many people join mylot just to earn some money. They posts one line responses and think that they will be paid well. They just start unecessary and senseless discussions. Discussions should be intresting and realistic to get more number of responses...... I think number of responses you get also depends on the fact that in which intrest you start the discussion. If more number of people share the intrest in which you started the discussion, more people will view your discussion. This will increase the chances of getting a high number of responses...... Also I think adding more tags to your discussions helps to increase the number of responses you get. Try adding as more tags as you can for your discussions. This will surely help....... According to me, tips I mentioned above can surely help you in getting more responses for your discussions........ Happy mylotting!

I am very new here, 2 days old if you wanna be specific lol, but I have to agree with you guys. Logically it makes sense. Some people are here to enjoy while others want to make a quick buck. With that in mind if it takes too long to formulate thoughts on a topic then far be it for them to do it. Why take 5 minutes to answer a discussion when you can take the same 5 minues and answer may 6.

No, I have seen that I don’t et too much response to the discussion that I put up. And I that is something which I have a trouble with but I have never give too much thought on that. I think I am better off responding to the discussions rather than starting discussions on the forum. and i think this is not the thing whic i did becasue i liked it but i was forced. here people dont think about other people.

i also do not know exactly. i have also seen i get less naswers.may be i have very few friends. But i have noticed discussions which are even quite same as of mine have got many responses. Mine are not. I am not so famous. many also laugh at my problem

I don't know why my post don't get a lot of repsonse.

A lot of questions are asked here at mylot per second . So people may not find time to reply to your question because of that reason and also it may not have some come on the first page of questions for some time .

I have some discussions that dont have any response at all welll it doesnt worry me that muc. Maybe if you put something original something that is catchy maybe they get some response.
