Hello All.
I am very sad to say, I have been robbed.
Nothing drastic, but I don´t understand why people
would take my mail out of my mailbox!
How do I know?
I was going out of my house and checked my mailbox.
There was a big envolope in it from the T.K.(T.K is where I am insured because of medical reasons), very important for me.
I figured, I would leave it there,seeing as it was to big to carry around.
My mailbox is locked. I live in a soort of apartment building. All the boxes are in the lobby, beside each other.
When I came back, the envolope was gone!
Very easy to put your hand in, seeing as the envolope was big.But I cannot understand why someone would do that.
It makes me very sad.
I sticked a peace of paper on my mailbox saying " Please give me back the envolope from the T.K. It is very important for me. Thank-you."
The person that took it will know what I mean and that I know. What would you do, in a situation like this?

Awwwwwwwwwwww so sorry to hear that Margajoe!!! Has it been returned yet? Its sad when people do this and I don't know why they would want the parcel and yet it has no relevance to them. Grr I would be so angry for sure!

I hope it didn't contain any personal details like social security numbers and personal details like that so others cannot steal your identity as such.

I hope not. I am not sure,but then again, what would they need a dutch identy for?
I will know if that was in there when they send me a new one.
My friend still has not gotten contakt with the lady that is on my case.
She only works on certain days, hopefully she will be there tomorrow.

I am just astonished to hear your case.i would request you that if that burglar is caught better you ask him what was his motive before you hand him over to police.i am saying this because in no way can he get any monetary benefit by taking your medical insurance letter.i think his motive was only to trouble you otherwise wouldnt have done a much serious trouble.anyway hope you get your envelope soon.have a nice day.

Yes I am astonished too.
I cannot understand it. Unless someone wants to know what my health situation is . Hopefully they don´t fill in the forms and say I am all better. In that case I will not get paid my monthly pay.
But, that can be fixed.
I just don´t like the idee of someone stealing my mail!
It bothers me.
As for police, with my back, I don´t think I will be able to catch a theaf. LOL. Those days are no more.
That is why I cannot work.
Maybe they don´t beleive me, and because I don´t leave the house much anymore, they get curious. The information about me is very little.
And especially one lady here, our so called newspaper, she likes to know everything and tell everybody.
Oh well, we will see what happens.

That has happened to me as well. That is why I bought a locked mailbox.

I have a locked mail box. But, this envolope was big.
That is why I left it there. It was to big to carry around. I figured I would get it when I go back home.
But then it was gone. They must have put there hand in the opening. The big envolope is easy to get.

I would report to the head of the building, and see if there was a camera (hopefully there is) and u can view who did it and then confront them about it even though they should alreadie know that you know because you have put that note. i just hope that person gives it back. people shouldnt be so low lifed and try n find things to keep them more busy. bothering ppl and causing problems in their lives isnt going to get them anywhere! EITHER WAY dont worry im sure things will work because of our good old friend KARMA. Im sure everything will turn out. Best of luck and happy earnings Magajoe!

But, they did not put it back yet.
There are some nosey people here, they could
use a hobby of there own, not my mail.LOL

Ja, me too!!!
I am going to ask my friend to write it for me tomorrow.
He is German, I cannot write in German. I can understand it. I can read it, but I cannot talk very wel. People who know me understand me, and that makes it easy for me, not to learn the language. LOL Okay I am lazy.
I will try again tomorrow, cause I have a study here.But just don´t feel like it yet. LOL.
(If my internet server falls off again, I will be going to bed. It is already 2:45 here.)
But,yes I think it will be a good joke!
And if it does not get taken out, that would mean my mail will be safe. I hope.

geez i am very sorry to hear that, sounds like you did all you can do, i cant believe someone can actually stick their hand into a locked mailbox! I guess from now on you should just take everything out of there, we have that problem in america but people are usually looking for checks

Yes, next time I will take it with me, or bring it to my house first.

sorry to hear about your stolen mail. That's not very nice. The note may Help if they come back, or pass by, it may give them a guilty conscious, it may have been somebody from the same complex??? You would hope not otherwise you wouldn't feel safe...... Did you try asking some of your neighboughs if they had seen it or somebody eles hanging around...... Maybe you could call TK and tell them what happend and they may send you another if it is really important.....

I have a friend who speaks good german, he will call the T.K. That should be okay. But the idee of someone taking out my miail. That really bothers me!
It is from this complex , the front door is locked. You can only come in with a key.
And everyone here is so friendly.
That is why I don´t want to talk about it to them, because I have no idee who it could be.
I know one lady here is like the neighbourhood newspapier, she likes to know everything. And tell everybody.
But would see stoep that low?

WE have a locked mailbox too, it's big enough for the mailman to stick envelopes in but not big enough for anyone to get their hand in, you needa key to open it. We also shred all the credit card apps we recieve and anything else that has personal info. Identity theft is not uncommon, so I would call TK and have them put a note on your account that if anyone should contact them about your account that they need to notify you.Most places will have no problem doing this for you. I'm not trying to scare you, but 7 years ago my x took my social security number and our marriage license to the DMV with his girlfriend and got an ID with my info and her picture, I'm still battling creditors over that to this day.

I hope your battling days will be over soon.
For me , it is not just the mail.
It is the idee that someone would do that.
I don´t understand.
The most what can happen is they fill in the form saying I am healthy again and I won´t get paid.
That to me is bad enough, but does not take 7 years to clean up. So compaired to your situation , I would rather be in mine.
Your identity, that is a strange feeling when I put myself in your posisition. The only one thing that is really yours and someone can accually try and steal it!

Seems like someone whats to know how sick I am.
Thats what those papiers are about. Health insurance kind of thing. I cannot work because of my back problems.
But, why don´t they just ask me?
I have nothing to hide.
I am going down to check my mailbox.

I think the thief who have stolen the mail must be the one who is near to your apartment.
Probably the person must have misunderstood the mail for some big bucks that could be encashed.
I hope that the person may return the same to you, probably by another mail.

It cannot be a misunderstanding.
I don´t think. You cannot put your hand in the mailbox that is not yours.
That is no mistake.
I went down to check again, to see if they put it back.
But still nothing.

Oh.. so sorry to hear that. Those people who have done this must be either kids or adults who are plain bored. I suggest you quickly call or write in to T.K to ask them to send another copy for you. Meanwhile, you can only pray that the thief will give you back the mail. Hopefully the thief is a kid. At least you know the kid would not use your private information and would most probably have thrown it away.

Problem here is, there are no big kids living here.
It must have been a bored adult.
My friend is going to call the T.K for me, as he speaks German. I can a little, but I am still learning.
I hope that at least the person will read the note and realize I know. That should imbaris them, give them a guilty conschence. They might think I know who it was.LOL
That would be good. Then my mail will be safe, I hope.

That is what bothers me. Who can I trust?
I hope they read the note too.
It is hard to mis.
Maybe this way at least they will know I know and won´t do it again. I hope.
I wonder if I have lost more mail then I know of?
