Oh I wish I could go to Peru! Maybe one of these days, but for now I'll just have to daydream about it, lol.

The longer you put off dreams, the more they cost. It is a lovely place, and only 5 1/2 hour flight from Miami. If you chose your time, at times of the year, you can find deals for around $300 round trip from Miami, and when you get ready to go, I can give you some places to stay that are nice, clean, and safe, for around $30 a night for a couple.

I forgot, you are in Texas, and it is about the same from there as from Miami...

I am keen on traveling and have been to many places, not South America yet. I would love to go to Peru. I would like to spend a few days in Lima before going on to the town walking tours for the Inca Trial begin. It would be amazing to do this, walking quite a tough route and seeing great scenery. I think it would be interesting to visit the island where much wildlife can seen. I would like to see the amazing lines that can be seen from the air. I would adore a trip into the jungle area to spot parrots like macaws. I hope to go in 2009 or 2010.

Yes, you need to spend time in Lima. Most people go to Lima just as the starting point for the trip in Peru, but they have some great places, and food in the city. I have been 3 times, and I have not yet gone to the Inca trail, or the Jungle. My wife is from Lima, and she tries to get me out of the city, but I love the beach, and the weather in Lima. I am going to post more pictures soon..

It is great that you have been to Peru a few times. I think that your wife must have some lovely ideas of places there you and she can see together. It would be lovely to see more pictures of beautiful Peru. I am in the very early stages of learning Spanish. I have been to Central America and love it there. I am sure South America is wonderful too. I am so looking forward to my traveling there.

I just came back from Peru! I learned all about the Inca ruins. The highlight of my tour was Macchu Picchu! It was amazing! We also stayed in the Sacred valley. In order to see Macchu Picchu you have to fly to Cuzco. Because of the altitude change some people get a headache and have to drink coca tea. We also went to Puno and stayed at Lake Titicaca. There we saw the floating islands of Uros. The company that I recommend to go with is called Odyesseys Unlimited. They did a great job.

Hi! I'm from Lima... but I'm living in Malaysia now, it's been 7 months now... I miss been there and over all I miss the peruvian food a lot... i think is one of the best in the world, here I haven't found any restaurant that has even similar flavours... I hope to go back and visit my family and friends soon. Ah! and go to Macchu Picchu, when you are a local, you try to travel outside your country, but now that I live outside, I regret I haven't made some time to go there. If you need any tips or advices... just let me know !!
