When you are planning on running a bunch of errands do you make a mental map of what routes you are going to take so you don't continueously backtrack? I always have a route in mind and what places I need to go to before I leave the house. Do you?

Oh yes I do and it drives Bob nuts. He will just start going in all directions and that drives me nuts. When I have to go to town I list which order I am going to go. I hate to backtrack. I go in a circle and he just randomly starts going to which ever. I just fume. Such a waste of time and I don't care much for shopping, I just want to get done and get home so.

That's the way I have to be when I go out. I hate the running
3 miles this way. Then back near where we started. Then back
to near the first area etc etc. HAHAHA! Make a nice circle of
the stops I need and be done with it I say.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I make a list of all the places I need to go about 48 hours before I will go so I can map out the best way to do these errands. When I know which order to go, I make the final list.

i do. it makes my errand easier and faster to finish. in fact, when i was in college i used to write all the things i will do for the day and the places where i should go in a piece of paper. ^__^;; coz there were really days when i had to do a lot of things and i had to go to lots of places. but now i don't write it anymore.. in a paper. i write it in my cellphone calendar. LOL

Oh yea! I have such a map.
And in fact, just to make sure my failing memory will not forget, I write them down on a piece of paper then bring it along with me.
So it would be something like:
Station 1: Get the milk
Station 2: Post the letter
Station 3: Drop the books
Etc. :P
