A love story about a Veteran!

Back before WW II my father met my mother when she was just a teenager. He had a fancy for her but she was really too young as my father was nine years older then she. They saw each other from time to time bumping into each other at dances etc. The war came and my dad enlisted. The first time he signed up and went for his physical they sent him home but he was bound and determined to serve his country so he went again....and this time they accepted him. My mother wrote him for a while during his training which took place in both California and New York. After he shipped out they lost track of each other. My dad was a Hero who was wounded in the war..permanently disable in fact by a shell that fell on him and broke his back. He spent a year in a hospital in California then returned home to Minnesota. It was a couple of months before he went to a dance again with his buddies, and there was my mom, dating someone else and she was at the dance with that guy. He walked up to her, and said "When are you going out with me?" She said......"The first time you ask me!" They were married 47 years....happy years too! I guess I wanted to share this with you because love that is meant to be, will be. So never give up on love! When you least expect to find it, that is when love will fill your heart!
