HPV - anyone know about it?

I was wondering if anyone had any information on hpv. Someone i know has it and we were just trying to figure out how she got it and how long shes had it. If anyone has any information on it at all it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Please note what I am putting here is only an information since you asked for it.
Human Papilloma Viruses (HPV) is a specific cause for Cervical Cancer. In most cases,HPV infection is not 'active' long enough to cause problems. However, if an infection with 'high-risk'type of HPV, if detected early can be treated.

I have found a video about HPV and its treatment is availble on UCTV (university of California Telivision). If you want to know more about it, I think the web University Hospital can give you more information.You can search them on their webpage and I hope they will be helpful to your friend.
