What are the important things one should mind to start a website?

hmm.. i have tried to ask that question once when i started to build my own e-commerce website but here's the tip if you like it. well you have to own your own domain name to make it look professional in order to attract more costumers, likewise you need to buy a webhosting not necessarily from the site where you bought your domain. in my own thinking, it is advisable that you buy your own domain from a different webhosting company and your hosting plans in others. this is to avoid suspension of accounts in some cases. if your webshoting is suspended for other reason or want to choose a better webhosting server at least you can easily point your domain to it. in my case i bought a domain name from bluehost.com, not necessarily cheap but it was the first site that i have encountered. that is for my own webshop www.maragtas.org. i have bought my webhosting at 1and1.com and pointed my nameservers to it. 1and1 although not really user-friendly offers big webspace with only a lower price. i have availed of their 50% offer for webshoting free for three months for only $14. you can also try godaddy i have also bought a domain from it, and it works fine, so far and 1and1 and godaddy is now the most popular webhosting and domain resgitration company. you have to look for a good reputation for your domain/hosting company in terms of service in order not to ruin you site, and eventually led to data loss. when you have your own site, try the content management system like zen cart or oscommerce whichever suits your need. it is a very good script and it is also free. you just ftp the files to the site and some tinkering with the logo, themes etc., and your own. my site www.maragtas.org is powered by zencart and it is fine because you can easily integrate it with paypal or moneybookers or other payment services without having to learn complicated html or javascript programming.

I would go to go daddy.com its like 2 for the first year of the domain name and $10 a month to have the site hosted so $12 to start 10 after that is not bad at all.Hope this helps if you need someone to make it for you send me a message and maybe we can work out a deal if you want but if not thats fine.
