do you think its wrong to post drunk photos on sites like myspace and facebook? do employers really look on there and wont hire you because you have drunk pictures up there? if you have it on private then it shouldnt matter right? can you get in troublle by police or government if you have photos drinking and your underage? thanxs

good topic. i think its stupid to put up such pics because its is self defaming or defaming (if put up by others). it can get you into trouble if ur underage but so far i havent seen anyone who has been caught for it so yes, its wrong because it can destroy your reputation in the future when u least expect it. such things should be kept private.

yeah i know what you mean i dont understand why teens like putting up these pictures. its like they think underage drinking is so cool they need to show everone that they do it. i mean if someone is drinking and they are underage then thats their buisness there are more important things to worry about than that. i dont know why they feel they need to show everyone.

It doesn't matter. drunk photos and even worse stuff are posted everywhere on these sites. If you are really conscious about this just do not reveal much info about yourself. The problem with most people on these social networking sites is that they display personal information. Besides, unless you put down your address no one will ever know.

yeah that is true im not really worried about it anymore i just find it very interesting because the spotlight is starting to focus on these internet sites and they make them sound bad.

Well, I don't think you can get in trouble for having photos if you are underage because there is so many ways to fake pictures like photoshop. If your page is set to private, then no one can read it unless they are approved as one of your friends. If you are out and about socializing on a weekend I don't see why anyone should care about what you are doing. Most employers could be found in the same social scene themselves, they just may not have their pics posted online.

I think it is wrong for employers not to hire or fire someone for what they do in there personal time ( as long as work isnt brought into it) As for police and government. I dont think they could do anything, There are so many young people (teenagers) on myspace that constantly talk about smoking illegal things (couldnt say the word on here) and drinking its crazy. i wonder where the parents of these kids are. But anyway...the pages are still up and active so im guessing nothing has happened to them. If the profile is private then it shouldnt matter. Unless of course they are added.

yes thats how i feel wht they do in their personal time is their buisness as long as it doesnt affect their job.

Drunk photos? Are you minor? For me, it doesn't matter as long as you take responsibility as to what you are posting. A drunk one maliciously displayed that will just cause your integrity level fall is really one bad experience and you should not not posting. Well, if it's fun and you will show some funny drunk pictures that will not offend anybody, I don't think there is a problem to that. Enjoy posting!

haha ok yea thats the same thing i was thinking as long as the picture isnt really obscene then it should be ok

That's not my thing as I don't get drunk at all. I never understood it but to each their own. Could they get in trouble with the government? I don't know about that one to tell you the truth. It's possible but then again on myspace, people can fake their age I'm sure of that. Could it cost someone their jobs? Possibly depending on the job itself. Something like that should be private. It's up to that person in the end though.

THATS A REALLY GOOD DISCUSSION. I never really thought about that in the sence that employers are on there and what not. I too, have been taged with such pictures and I feel that it is a possibility that if you are underage than chances are they wont hire you for that reason! Im not 100% sure if u get ge in trouble by the police of government if you have photos drinking or smoking and you are underage. But considering the laws you would think so wouldnt you? They havent enfoced such laws on facebook yet, maybe they will as it continues to grow.
