Wait a minute here....The doctor induced early delivery at 7 months because the wife wanted to contiue schooling? Thats legal over there??? Are you SURE this is fact for starters and if it IS is it possible that maybe the baby WASN'T murdered but rather the parents were just told that for some reason? I'm all for abortion and the right to choose HOWEVER THAT IMO is NOT abortion that is murder...a child born at 7 months gestation CAN survive outside the womb...My youngest was born at 6months gest so I know this for fact.....

I have spent time in a special care baby unit. There I saw tiny babies that had been born prematurely. The babies lived due to excellent medical care. The photos of all the success stories at the entrance to the unit were most touching. Some of the babies had been born as early as 24 weeks gestation. By the time they were six months old they had reached the birth weight of my first baby. My second baby has spina bifida and the hospital fixed him up nicely for a happy future. In my country abortion is allowed up until 24 weeks gestation, in fact the time a baby born this early could possibly survive with good medical care. I think in unusual cases like finding out the mother's life is in danger if she continues with the pregnancy abortion is legal after the 24 weeks cut off. I do not believe in abortion for myself. If I was the lady I would have kept the baby and changed my life or had the baby adopted. She might suffer emotionally after aborting her own child in such late pregnancy. I think it sounds horrific. It upsets me to hear of the poor innocent baby being drowned. I am not surprised you feel in a rage abut it. I totally understand. Nothing will bring this poor baby back into this world though. No study is worth this event surely.

OMG how disgusting!! She was 7 months pregnant?? How is that even legal. Your not supposed to be able to abort after 3 months. They are lucky I am not their family because I would NEVER speak to them again.How cruel can they be if they didn't want the baby then why did they let the baby grow until it was 7months along? In my opinion they committed MURDER and so did the doctors that drowned the poor boy.

I'm not sure where you are from, so situations in YOUR country may be different there than in the US, but this story sounds proposterous. Doctors will not INDUCE a 32 week fetus just so a mom can continue school. Partial birth abortions are illegal in the US, so I am pretty sure that inducing a child, then drowning it is MUCH WORSE. Even supporters of abortion would find this insane, because, even though they don't think a fetus is a real human, they do believe that once the child is born and breathing, that they are a real human. So...quite frankly, your nephew and niece murdered their child and should be in prison right now. Either this story is BS, or your homeland has some serious issues with morality.

I'm not against abortion but what I don't understand is why in the world would they wait that long? It's much easier to get the abortion when the fetus is less than 2 months old. What in the world were they thinking? Why would someone carry a baby for that long then decide they want to abort it?

Somehow it seems very strange to me. I can't belive it. I mean, there is no possibility of doing abortion on 7 month kid, it's simply too late. And I do agree with someone above me that 7 month old can survive by itself so there was absolutely no need for doing that nor I can belive any doctor would do that. From what you said it looks like your nephew's whife did give a born to a baby but then just left it to die. This in not abortion, this is a murder.

I am actually not against abortion But this was not an ABORTION. This was MURDER. abortion here has to be done in the first few weeks - after that it is illegal. I do belive in the womans right to choose, but here she has been pregnant for 7 months , that is just wrong!!!

That is a bad story. Killing a 7 month baby is also a crime of murder. Abortion is an absolutely wrong and it is a crime of murder. And absolutely I am not favor for this. And I think the fetus have life and like us she/he have a right to see this wonderful world.

OMG that is just messed up how could someone do that to a baby that is that far along they could of waited and give it up for adoption that is a crime and should be in jail for the rest of their lives for that

It's really saddening to hear that. This only teaches us to think carefully before we do anything. If we want to do something, then be prepared for the consequences. I believe your nephew and his wife are both very young since they are still studying. They are so young, they should not even have conceived the child in the first place. At 7 months, the fetus is more or less developed. I am sure they could have found someone to adopt the baby rather than killing him. That's very inhuman of your nephew. No matter what we say now is of no use. All we can do is to pray for the child and May God bless the child.

Oh my god that is so bad.. I mean she is almost due and never wait for another 2 months more to bring that baby in this world and then they can decide. Because knowing that there are more couples that love to have children. In the eyes of God they both commit sin and they will carry on for the rest of their lives. Thats why this kids really never listen ,they make decisions and never ASK Advise from the seniors. I feel sorry for that kid, the only way to save it is PRAY for the soul. What A waste.

Is this a legal procedure where they live? What you're describing is not an abortion, it's infanticide. Drowning a child is not at all comparable to an early termination.

I'm very sad reading your topic.. i'm a mother and have a 11 months old son. Abortion makes me sick and why the mother wants to take it off because of her study? stupid things to do. She didn't think what are the consequences when they made love and now she's pregnant she easily take the baby away. She's sick i hope GOD will forgave her for what she do.. she's a murderer.. She didn't let her child experience beautiful thing in the world. Maybe one day she will regret the things that she'll do. I will pray for the baby.. i hope he's in heaven now. And for the mylotter out there it's not the doctor who takes the child.. We call it "abortionist" people who don't have any licence it's their ILLEGAL work to kill babies for small money.

I think this young lady was depressed and got the wrong help!No mother in her right mind would do this after carring a baby for 7 months! A baby of 4 to 5 months already has a chance to survice and be healthy. In Holland that is forbidden. Abortion is aloud befor 3 months. In some cases it is nesessary. But , not something you just go and do because you decide it does not fit in you daily plans. After 3 months it is called murder. This lady does not know it yet, but later she is going to feel so guilty. When she finally realizes what she had done. Are you sure she carried for 7 months? I just cannot understand. That is SOOOO sick! I've heard of people aborting babies at the start of the pregnancy, but for someone to abort a 7-month old fetus is just so wrong!!! And the reason for abortion is stupid... the wife couldn't continue studying if she's pregnant?! Hello, she carried the baby for 7 months already. Plus the baby was alive when it came out... why didn't they just let the baby live anyway or give it up for adoption? You're right, this is not acceptable. Gosh. They killed a baby who could've lived. I'm not a fan of abortion but sometimes I try to understand the people who do it at the start of the pregnancy when the baby hasn't really formed yet. But to force a baby to come out at 7 months -- ALIVE -- and then kill it?! Were the parents even thinking?! I'm sorry to talk about your nephew and his wife like this but what they did was so bad.
