A close friend of mine asked me to be her bridemaid recently. I never did that before and I am wondering what should a good bridemaid do. The wedding ceremony is coming next month. Google told me just to accompany the bride. Do you have similar experience? Would you mind telling me your detailed story or suggestions of being a bridemaid?

Ultimately it is her day. so therefore do whatever makes the day better for her! within reason of course! If she would like you to accompany her, then do it, if not, then don't. Your role as bridesmaid is to support your friend. So just be happy for her and offer a helping hand! have fun!

Just be yourself. Being a bridesmaid, you just have to make sure that the bride won't have to worry a thing on that day. During the ceremony you have a role, either you have to put the lace or put on the candle or the band (it's like a rope)... anyways, you just have to make sure that everything she needs during the ceremony is ok. Also during the reception, if you could assist the bride in many ways, do it then.
