First let me tell you how sorry I am to hear that! (Been there, done that twice!) Are you sure the deep well pump itself hasn't blown or quit? The other thing that happens often is that the underground water supply has changed it's course. Either one of them pretty much requires somebody who knows what they're doing, and also have the equipment to do it with. At my Dad's place, two different times (in 25 years) we attatched a block and tackle and brought the unit up. But again, you HAVE to know what you're doing, and even then, the well might have to be re-drilled a little deeper until they hit a lower source. Our water table in my area is 80-120 feet deep. Once the table changed after a mild earthquake we had, and in a different area of town, they do underground blasting at a stone quarry, and this happens to those folks here and there too. I don't know what area of the country you live in, but that's a possibility how it happened. Also, sometimes the water table just wasn't a good enough source. If I were you, I'd have it checked by a pro so you don't waste money on something you probably won't be able to fix yourself. I know this probably wasn't much help to you. Good luck with your project!

i think that there might be a possibility of water level going down. it happens most of the time that water level goes down and you have to dig a bit deeper for the water.
