Okay, my friend is asking me about what is happening between she and her boyfriend.
A week ago my friend came home and he was washing his dirty shoes in a washing machine then she noticed that he put her clothes in after he washed his shoes.
She found out and asked him that he shouldn't wash his dirty shoes because you never know where he walked on and it's not good to wash with clothes that you put on your body then he goes " It's been washed nicely so it doesn't really matter".
She wasn't happy with the fact that he doesn't care to wash his shoes in the washing machine that she washes her clothes, so she explained that she is not comfortable with washing her clothes right after he washed his shoes, he said he won't do that again.
Today she found out that he was doing the same thing and he was washing her jeans with his dirty shoes. They've gotten into a fight and she asked me if she is overreacting against something that's not a big deal for some people.
He even told her to buy a new washing machine just for her so that he won't need to hear her complaining about he washes his shoes in the washer and they are both blaming on each other.
To me, I don't want to wash my clothes with the same washing machine that someone washed their shoes, especially right after it or with it!
Are you okay with washing your clothes with dirty shoes or wash your clothes right after someone washed their shoes??
What would you say about my friend's situation?

What I do is wash my tennis shoes with detergent and dry bleach. Next I run a small tub of hot water with dry bleach and detergent and let it run through the cycle to make sure the washer is clean. I firmly believe the washer is clean after I do the above and continue on with the clothes. I wouldn't feel the need to buy another washer just for shoes. Another option would be to take the shoes to a laundromat so the washer at home is only used for clothes.

I also gave her your idea that was very close to mine as an advice, and she said he feels that he doesn't need to rince the washer after he washes his shoes because the washer should be clean after it rinces the shoes.
I think if he agreed with rincing the washer after he used for his dirty shoes it will be fine but as long as he believes that there are nothing wrong with washing his shoes without rincing it might be hard to improve the situation.....
I would give her your another option as more idea as well!
Thanks for your comment :)

There have been times I didn't run the washer after washing my tennis shoes. It didn't make the next wash dirty and my clothes still smelled clean and fresh. Good luck trying to convince your friend it's ok to use the washer after washing the shoes.

I would say that your friend's boyfriend needs to find a new girlfriend...someone who actually appreciates anyone washing her dirty clothes.

Well she said it was the first time he actually tried to wash her jeans in their 3 yrs relationship and he even told her that he wanted to see if her jeans gets dirty when he washes his shoes with clothes....he didn't try with his own clothes to see the result,he used hers instead....
Thanks for your comment though :)
